Hmm. Not a technical person, but pretty sure that points to development of clutch system and reduction gears to drop down speed.

In real world yes that would indeed happen, but with Vijay having already reingrovated scientific thinking and fired up innovative thinking is already far ahead of Europe. Just few chapters back it was mentioned Vijay planned to introduce era of steam, which he can most definitely do it, with his cheat knowledge of futuristic technology and techniques. Thus he has opportunity to leap frog ahead of the British this time.

On another note! Somewhere previously it was mentioned that all industrial zones were built along the banks of fast flowing rivers, for making use of water wheel. The thing is, though I don't have technical background in engineering , if my physics knowledge from high school serves me right the overshot watersheds is more efficient than undrrshot design and the efficiency is also directly proportional to the height from which water is discharged on waterwheel, so by that measure won't it be more effective if Vijay had designed a series of aqueducts similar to Roman's and connect it to reservoirs built along major rivers? bet that would he could have not only benefitted from enormous kinetic energy from water falling from height but also could have developed efficient water distribution system and developed interior water parched areas.

Sweet! Now Dakshin Bharatiya Empire should collaborate with Venetians to co-produce large displacement Man of Wars and even bigger Ship of Line class vessels. After that to gain strategic advantage that can consider building first sail powered iron class and upgrade it to sail iron class with small auxiliary steam engine. Somewhat similar to Japanese Kanko Maru, which had a small 150hp reciprocating steam engine that drive paddle wheel. Except make it with screws as paddle wheel would be extremely vulnerable. would not ge an issue with leaf spring suspension. Afterall they are used specifically for heavy vehicles. Now had u put independent coil spring suspension things would have been different as tge weight would gave immense pressure on coil spring.

Almost forgot steam rollers should also be built.

Make sure, when Bharatiya Empire enters steam age, he produces steam cars, steam sentinel wagons ( trucks) and locomotives apart from creating steam-powered pumps, dozers, excavators and cranes. That way he can induce a revolution in military affairs by developing the first motorized infantry. That would offer enormous advantage strategically and would essentially allow Bharatiya Empire to deploy forces at rapidly. It would also make sense strategically to have steam powered automobiles before developing oil powered vehicles, as til time Vijay controls Middle East and Persian Gulf he won't have a reliable crude oil supply and in medical age he ca easily source firewood or coal fuel to fire boilers and thus negating the need for carrying fuel in a long supply train.

Good filler chapter, but we need a closure on the naval battle. Can u give a perspective of first the Ottomans on the news of their defeat and also how the Europeans in general react to it. Bet British won't be thrilled at increasing naval strength of Bharatiya Empire.

I sure hope Bharatiya Empire's shipbuilding technology develops soon and would love to see vessels in the same class of the French Glorie and then the British Warrior class ironclad. Both Ironclads were designed during the waning era of Age of Sail and Glorie was later outfitted with small steam engine and propellers.

Test way he can start building large Nan of Wars. Also now that he has introduced beam bending machine tools, it should be fairly easy to achieve breakthrough in shipbuilding and start building his own Man O War. He can initially start by building in same tonnage class as tge captured Ottonan vessels, but he should aim for the HMS Victoria class vessel that weigh almost 7000 ton and was a Ship.of Line class vessel.

While that indeed is a pragmatic step, he should also try to get Shipwrights from Venice abd Pourtugal in exchange for some if his basic new ammunition rounds or something else.

Don't mention it, I just felt it's within the capability of Dakshin Bharatiya Empire, now that he employs encryption in messages. it's only natural progression. Just remember to follow appropriate technology evolution cycle without any abrupt technology innovations. Vijay may introduce them at frequent intervals but should follow atleast a believable technology evolution cycle.

Unfortunately though, by the time the reinforcements from Dakshin Bharatiya Empire arrive, it would already be too late. Unlike the last time when the Mughal Empire took their time conquering one stronghold at a time, this time the Mughal army is looking to steamroll everything in front of it.

iIt's time Vijay introduces, a Heliograph based Morse code system. It was a precursor to electrically powered wireless communication and used sun light reflected off mirrors to send an optical code. Technically still used in ship to ship communications in case of emergency or when on radio silence.Though the base heliograph used to work only during day time, it still is relatively easy to incorporate a small oil lamp during nighttime to dispatch messages.

Please consider providing a belief summary on the vessel and personnel losses as well as the bounty captured intact from the battle . Out of 10 Man o War's, how many could be captured relatively intact and number of Dutch and Ottoman cannons captured would be great closure on the naval battle chapters.[img=recommend]

Assuming the new ammunition rounds have entered even low serial production along with Rifled guns, it will likely result in Turkey shoot. It will allow Bharatiya Naval ships to engage these behmoths much farther than they can with relatively higher accuracy. With new types of ammunition they can fire anti personal frag rounds through the limited deck space, multiplying casualties and rendering gun crews inoperable.
