('Chairman Deacon will, at the very least develop some suspicions in regards to the truth. He has enough clues. He has plenty of reason to suspect that the Voider is responsible for the sabotage, barring Squire Harens' impulsive blunder.') Rui analyzed their situation. ('Once that happens, the patrol guard's report will confirm that the Voider is comprised of more than one person, at a bare minimum. That will change how he handles the investigation. More importantly, it will also strongly support the idea that the Voider's modus operandi highly relies on stealth more than anything. The only reason he can't assume this to be the case is that a single patrol guard's ambiguous report filled with uncertainty is not compelling enough. I should thank my stars that only one guard sensed our presence, if multiple guards reported the same thing, then it would be much more ironclad.')

However, he had not felt the need to adopt such a weapon, nor had he come across a weapon that would suit his Flowing Void Martial Art.

"It was when you helped your sister awaken. Witnessing that moment was a turning point for me. Since then, I've never looked away, even when we were separated by a thousand miles." The old man's voice carried the weight of years of observation and reflection.

“So we went back and forth for a few days, thinking up names, and finally settled on naming you after something that reminded us of what brought us together. A shitty little dive bar brought you into our lives, but ‘The Pink Pussycat’ doesn’t really scream name material. So we figured we would name you after the first drink someone ordered that night and you ended up being Jose Cuervo. If you were a girl, you’d be Midori. And count yourself lucky, brat,” she giggled, “because we almost named you Pontiac Sunfire, for the car you were conceived in!”

If others heard that a fifteen-year-old had inscribed runes on an item, they would laugh it off as a joke but Seth had done so before he even became nine years.

(Ed note: It’s not even a secret that all militaries brainwash their troops, both during training and during actual wars. The fancy word for it is “operant conditioning”, but it’s still basically brainwashing but with a more polite name and a much stronger effect. If you’re interested in learning more, google Ivan Pavlov.)

"I guess that means there is something, huh? Come on, help me out. Think about it; if I join you in the academy, I can help out as well. I can protect you from any bullies. I'm a 6th stage Pagna warrior. I'm probably on the same level as the top teachers at the academy.

One, I could keep Grendel alive in a vegetative state while I toured the lower floors of Grendel's Grotto, but that would be a temporary fix as the dungeon would eventually heal its master. Mind-controlling the monster had a similar dilemma, and I didn't have the 'Domination' spell in my collection of known spells anyway. Option three, Imprisonment, was also a no-go because I didn't know the Academy's campus enough yet to have found a prison that could hold a dungeon boss. Frankly, the fourth method, which was also the easiest method to use, was to simply beat Grendel and bestow its authority over Lugh's Lament on another monster of similar strength.
