THANK YOU MAXI. RAAAAGE GIRL!

Her pent-up emotions burst forth like an erupting volcano.

Lol it’s perfectly reasonable and AWESOME because OF COURSE you are to be romanticized!

Maxi firmly resolved never to set foot in Levan for as long as she lived. It was absurd that people had romanticized her to such a degree at their wanton discretion.

There’s a chair with your name on it, buster

Riftan slammed the desk with his fist again, but the duke did not so much as flinch. The man's conviction that no one would dare lay a finger on him was absolute.

Lol

I had not been directly involved in the greatest climax of this world so far, and it felt weird. I told Gus to name the emotion for me, since he had magic weeoo-weeoo powers. But he just blinked at me and said 'just because I can sense your emotions doesn't mean I can name it.' So I made him guess and he said 'anti-climatic' with a wrinkled nose.

Yeah, like that didn't make me feel guilty. "I just woke up, give me a break." Seriously, what was with old men and teasing me? Wait, I loved to tease Gus, so did that make me an old man? At least on the inside? Actually, that made sense. From now on, I identify as an old man.

The documentary had been about the nature of evil. Basically, it asked 'What is evil?' It was a rather secular approach to a spiritually connotated subject. You could probably find it yourself with that all power of internet searches that I'd lost by being taken to a fanmade version of Middle-Earth.

Lol love this

That hurt. This was my favorite dress. I'd spent a butt load of time embroidering the hem of the skirt, collar, and sleeves with Granny Bella, and it was a pretty sea blue color I'd had to fight Danny Merchant's wife over when he brought it out of his wares. It was a good fight. Would make the ancestors proud. Many much battling of wits and hefting around of 'but I need' and 'but you have's.

YES YOU DO

Naturally, it didn't respond. Though it did turn its head and upper body so I could reach its smooth white belly. Of course, I obliged. When a cute sea dragon asks for belly rubs, you gosh darn give it belly rubs.

A niche joke but god I love it

"It would be cool to live by the ocean. I want to figure out how to make a monofin and a mermaid tail. I could be a mermaid, start up all sorts of weird freaky rumors. Could I have a kid with water magic? Then we really could be mermaids and I could scare off sailors with my bad singing. Come to me, my angel of music!" Yeah, Juan had put me in the Phantom of the Opera kick.

"I'm sure the water wizard can save me if something happens. Can't you, Juan?" I had to call him Juan, because if I said 'Don Juan' I'd start singing that song from the Phantom of the Opera and no one wanted to hear me sing, including me....DON JUAN TRIUMPHANT!

He scooped me up to him, fluff and all. Fortunately, he wasn't wearing any armor, and I got the pleasure of being hugged to a proper man chest. Mmm, man chi chis. Crap, bad pervy - no wait...this was my man now. I could appreciate these man chi chis all I wanted! Heeee.

Why did I feel like I was listening to two gangsters talking about a lit party rather than two women talking about sewing a dress?

To stop choosing fear…good point

But my fear caused me to hurt all the more. In a way, Nehcor had protected me by giving me Gus rather than a whole orphanage. There was no saying I'd even really enjoying being swamped by a house full of needy children without a partner to help take care of me after long days of taking care of everyone else but myself. Or having to figure out how to provide for myself and everyone without being able to focus my time on what they needed from me. And as for all my other needs, Nehcor had set good men before me since day one, even set them on my doorstep. All I had to do was stop choosing my fear and take a step forward. I only had to trust him. Have faith. Choose to do it right.

As a writer myself, im starting to see how a witty and blunt narration can help compensate for not being able to know everything

The man followed me to my cart and, after having me hold Tim in place, lifted the not-small cart himself and walked it till the...crap, wagon terminology, don't fail me now. Those two beams that go on either side of the horse and connects to all the straps and what not.
