well, different people has their own point of views, well in my story I wrote Necromancer controls beings they called Shigai, technically Shigais are like summons but they can only be conjured by a Necromancer from the shigai world, a shigai can only manifest it self in the world of the living through their master, so technically shigai are like spirits, so if they're spirits then they are not alive, so that ultimates lead to the relationship between what you said and what I say, wondering why she controls ice, what else do you expect a shigai to have, If all Shigais have dark powers or black magic related stuff then you can basically say all shigai posseses the same abilities, different shigai has different abilities.******(Spoiler ahead)> Why she control Ice is also connected to why she was originally given the tittle the cold hearted queen before the humans started calling her that, her shigai gives her the power to manipulate ice and wind on a large scale don't worry you'll soon see, between the chapter 25-30 or even sooner.
