The system wasted no time at all manifesting the black and white pokeball in my bag after the wheels finished spinning. I immediately transferred my new Charmander into a normal pokeball before releasing binding the ball to myself and releasing the creature from it's ball. The red light that came out of the ball solidified into the most awesome looking first evolution pokemon I have ever seen so far. The general shape of the body was the same as any normal Charmander but there were serious differences.-

The man had been working himself to the bone in his free time to try and create an armor for Alex that wouldn't get crushed in a single hit. Unlike a hunters armor that was made knowing that it's wearer would avoid direct conflict Alex's armor needed to be made for the exact opposite situation as direct conflict was Alex's bread and butter. This proved to be quite the challenge as very few materials could last very long against a monsters attack. Thankfully Alex's rather insane defenses meant that the old man didn't need to accomplish an impossible task but simply had to bolster Alex's defenses.

Alex could only shrug at that since he couldn't really argue with that logic. "Let's go see what this unusual creature is supposed to be then shall we?" the commander said ending the conversation there. Much like in the game while everyone was discussing the small hairless goblin creature a portal opened and dropped geralt into the base.

The healing plants of this world would have put anything from earth to shame as they caused wounds to visibly mend and scar over. when mixed and worked into a medicine this effect was even more pronounced resulting in alex being mostly healed with in an hour. the trade off to the medicine however was that it used the fat and nutrients you had stored to repair the damaged area. this meant that alex was positively ravenous after he healed to the degree he actually didn't kill the kulu ya ku before eating it when he flew back towards astera.

To a monster like alex the stupid huge amount of energy that zorah had stored was like someone shining a laser into your eyes. he couldn't ignore it if he wanted to since it messed up his senses and gave him a terrible sense of vertigo. he now knew why it was that zorah's crossing stirred up the locals so badly in the game if they also felt like this. the few people awake at this time in astera saw alex leave his nest with every scale on his body vibrating like a rattlesnake warning.
