you could possibly look at publishing it on Amazon Kindle or something like that. I know a decent amount of authors have deals where they can publish their works their and still release chapter by chapter. they do have to take anything but the most recent volume down but still not a bad idea.

there are some decent terraria fics on here that might be a good place to get inspiration from. they do a decent job at adapting the game mechanics to a compelling story. though I do think this should be a later game in the series as towards the end of calamity mod you're killing God eating worms and galactic overlord space dragons and such.
have you considered doing terraria for one of the worlds he goes to? is not you should, if it needs to be more powerful you could do calamity mod Terraria as a crazy amount of both content and an insane amount of lore you can find on the wiki.
the old version of this book was incredibly unique and well done in how it handled the virtual reality vrmmo genre and so I'm excited to see what is in-store for this new version. The pacing of the story along with the character development is will rounded and while the main character is really powerful the author makes a good attempt at not falling into the average vrmmo tropes.
