Capítulo 161: Statue of God

Even though they were looking straight at the source of light, Jake didn't blink. This light wasn't piercing, but rather soft, warm, and did not harm his eyes even though he was looking straight at it. 

Father Joseph stepped in front of the statue, putting his hands together and closing his eyes. 

As the statue basked in the divine brilliance of the divine stone that was brought here, Father Joseph started praying. 

And for a moment there, Jake could swear that the statue's eyes seemed like they had glowed far more than they were supposed to. Like actual eyes. 

Below the statue, at its feet, the broken hand to the right foot started shaking, like it was alive. Jake didn't know what disease caught him, but he bent down and took the rock hand. 

It was smooth, and for some reason, also quite soft, like a hand that was actually alive.
