Capítulo 43: Bonus Chapter: Spider Head
BOOM!
Emilia threw the fireball at the west side of the swarm, they were already swarmed with no way to run. The trees, the land, everything was covered with these big creepy spiders.
A huge chunk of the land got destroyed, around twenty spiders died in the forest but the nearby trees were lit on fire.
"Don't use such skills here! The forest will be destroyed!" Kyle shouted while hitting the sword at the upcoming spiders. With each hit, around 2-3 spiders died. Kyle didn't use the Frost aura yet not wanting to spill the beans quickly.
Jasper on the other hand was one to look at. His each step looked like a dance move and every movement of the blade made some bodies drop. Kyle was satisfied with his skills.
"Hm? Where is Keitan?." Emilia based while shooting small beams of fire at the spiders.
"Up there" Kyle pointed at the trees. Emilia looked in that direction and whistled in surprise. Ketan was jumping from one tree to another proficiently. He had a dagger in both his hands and the danger of those spiders hitting them from up lessened a lot.
The notifications kept coming in, but Kyle had long gotten used to it as he was getting these messages passively from his dungeon too. 10 minutes later, only a few spiders were left.
"Phew, finally time to take a breath," Emilia said while huffing in exhaustion. She was the best support one could get. Whenever a spider came dangerously close to the trio, she killed it with small beams of fire that were very lethal.
"You all did very well, this fight would have taken me many hours to complete alone," Kyle said while putting a hundred corpses of the spiders in his inventory. There were more than 400 hundred corpses near them.
"I can't say that for you, you didn't use anything other than that sword," Emilia said with a snort. She removed the earring from her ear and placed it on the corpses that went inside it. This was the spatial storage actually used by humans.
Kyle didn't say anything, he just looked at them collecting the corpses till they were doing it. he went with the plan he made. It was clear that they won't be able to complete the dungeon in a day and the mask will lose its effect in fifteen-something hours.
He took the armor he brought from the old man for only 250 gold coins.
"What's with the cheap armor?" Emilia asked while holding her laugh. Kyle was covered in a sturdy-looking armor from head to toe with gloves in his hands.
"Nothing, I am saving money for brothel. Let's go now." Kyle said jokingly, he knew Emilia will get angry with this remark.
With her grumbling all the way, they entered the dungeon vigilantly.
'What the fuck?' Kyle saw it for the first time, the dungeon walls and floor were all pitch black. It was good that he had night vision as a natural ability from his race.
Emilia made a small ball of light using mana which floated over her raised arm.
Kyle nodded at her and they started moving inside. This was the best place for a person like Keitan to fight. His eyes were glowing due to all the darkness around them.
Finally, the 1st floor's monsters started showing themselves in the big room.
They were at the entrance of the big room, Emilia made the ball of light go at the center of the room, it went floating in the middle of the room, and only then they could see the swarm of head spiders.
"So that's how it is, these monsters are breeding crazily and increasing, many of them go outside due to less space." Kyle was enlightened by the situation and told everyone about it. They all found the theory logical because of the situation in front of them.
Chitter Chitter Chitter
"Emilia, throw that fire of yours, now is the chance."
Emilia snorted and materialized a small ball of fiery flame in her left hand. The spiders were running very fast and with the dark environment, they looked like a mass of creepy flesh crawling toward them.
The fireball became the size of a basketball and the flames that were moving upwards were about 8 inches high. With one swing, the ball of fire went toward the upcoming spiders.
BOOM!!
The blast was intense, the after-effects of hot air invaded everyone except Kyle, a perk of being a skeleton. The dust and smoke were everywhere, the sound of agonizing screeches resounded everywhere, the smoke faded a little after twenty seconds, the burnt corpses of the spiders were everywhere, some were still screeching and running around while some that were at the center were already squashed into burnt pulp.
"Let's move fast," Kyle said and unsheathed Will Breaker from its hilt around his waist.
It took them some minutes to clear the whole floor while Emilia rested and regained her mana by drinking potions.
These potions were effective but they were not omnipotent, they took around a few minutes to actually kick in and the body took some time to extract the benefit from them.
"Let's stop for a while..." Emilia said while grumbling.
"You just follow us, you have done enough, we will take care of the next floor," Kyle said with a smile. He would have not said it if he didn't know the strength of the other two. They were just as good if not less.
"Fair enough." Emilia looked at Kyle as if to praise her more but Kyle started moving again.
They reached the next floor and finally saw some familiar guys. The goblins!
'This is just like my 3rd floor.' Kyle thought looking at the Hobgoblin and the 50 goblins near him. Now that he noticed, the room where they were accommodated was huge, unlike his dungeon.
Kyle placed Will Breaker inside its hilt and then the hilt inside the inventory under everyone's curious gaze. he materialized the 2 skulls out of the inventory with the belt and wore it on his waist.
Emilia stepped a little back seeing what Kyle was doing, the skulls were scary looking and didn't suit the pretty face he had.
"You said I used nothing before, right? Well, keep watching this time." Kye grinned crazily, Jasper was looking at the situation with anticipation, even keitan looked at him with surprise.
"....Earth Spike"
