Capítulo 79: Chapter 79: Sanctum Sanctorum

After breakfast, Chloe, like a gentle older sister, prepared everything that Wanda and Pietro needed for school.

After getting everything ready, she drove the siblings to school.

Jack stood by the door, looking at the car that was moving away slowly and sighing softly.

While the two children went to school, Jack did not intend to stay at home. Today he planned to find someone to help him solve the dream that had been bothering him for some time

A few minutes later, a car pulled out of the garage and disappeared suddenly.

An hour later, on Bleecker Street.

After parking the car in a roadside parking spot, Jack got out and started walking around the street.

He wasn't just casually walking around. He was searching for an invisible building that no one else could see.

'I remember that the Sanctum Sanctorum is on Bleecker Street, but what was the specific number again? 177A? No, that seems to be a fictional address.'

Jack scratched the back of his head in frustration as he looked at the building numbers on the doors along the street.

Jack thought that only the Ancient One, the Sorcerer Supreme he had been searching for, could give him the answers he needed. This was because the dream or the phrase that kept appearing in his dream made him feel that way.

He tried to find the Ancient One's help during World War II because the Infinity stone's energy inside him was causing a lot of trouble. However, he was unable even to locate the entrance to Kamar-Taj, let alone find the Ancient One.

Since he couldn't find Kamar-Taj in Nepal, he went to New York, which he knew better. He was confident that he could find it since there was only one Bleecker Street.

After walking up and down the entire street for an hour, Jack finally gave up.

He really couldn't find it!

He had no idea how the sorcerers were able to hide so well. He spent a long time looking up, and his neck was sore, but he still couldn't spot the circular skylight of the Sanctum Sanctorum that he had seen in the movies.

He tried to use the power of the Infinity Stones to understand the situation, but he could only sense that the space was being folded in this area. He couldn't detect anything else.

Jack was feeling disappointed and leaned against the car, watching people walking on the street. He muttered to himself, "Ancient One, why don't you want to see me so badly?"

It was the same as last time. Jack was sure that the Ancient One had noticed him, but Ancient One saw Jack as someone who was not supposed to exist in this timeline.

"Forget it. I'll come back next time."

Feeling disappointed, Jack turned around and got in the car. Since the Ancient One didn't want to see him, he probably wouldn't be able to find her either. It was better to do something else than waste time here.

He didn't realize that on the rooftop of the building next to where he parked, the Ancient One, whom he had been muttering too, was standing on the edge of the terrace, watching him drive away.

"Young people, they're always so careless," the Ancient One shook her head, looking a bit helpless.

In fact, with Jack's abilities, finding the Sanctum Sanctorum was quite simple. The only problem was himself. He had searched everywhere except for the starting point where he had parked.

Yes, he had parked right in front of the Sanctum Sanctorum, but he had circled around his target for half a day without realizing it.

After leaving Baker Street, Jack did not go straight home. Instead, he wandered around and came to the Smithsonian Museum.

However, when he eagerly arrived at the World War II exhibition hall and found the exhibit module for the Howling Commandos, his excited expression immediately turned black.

"I knew it..."

The main reason why Jack would have this expression is only one: he is not there.

That's right, there was no mention of him in the introduction to the Howling Commandos. His deeds, his statue, and even his name were not mentioned at all.

It's as if he didn't exist at all!

Feeling uneasy, he took another walk around the entire World War II exhibition hall but still found nothing.

That's right, he really didn't exist.

Jack wasn't too upset after realizing this. He understood that he was erased from the official records because of the uproar his actions had caused in Russia. It was understandable for the authorities to erase his existence.

But he still felt unhappy about it.

"Hmm?"

At this moment, he suddenly noticed the introduction of Bucky, a member of the Howling Commandos.

The introduction explained in detail how, after the fall of Hydra, he led the Howling Commandos to eliminate the remaining remnants of Hydra around the world under the leadership of Agent Carter.

These things are still considered normal, but they start to get a little different later on.

During World War II, Bucky was presumed missing after being ambushed by the enemy during a mission to eliminate Hydra. He fought off hundreds of attackers to cover his teammates' retreat but was not found by the Howling Commandos after the battle.

"Has nothing really changed?" Jack frowned and sighed. He thought he had changed Bucky's fate, but in the end, he still couldn't escape it.

As for whether Bucky is dead or not, Jack thinks he is probably still alive. However, he will need to search for him in the future. Or maybe he won't have to wait that long.

After leaving the museum and checking the time, it was already close to lunchtime. Rather than going back, he decided to sit down at a nearby cafe and ordered a cup of coffee and a beef sandwich to leisurely enjoy.

The sandwich tasted good, but the coffee didn't suit his taste. Jack sighed inwardly, realizing he was still more of a tea person.

After finishing the sandwich, he didn't immediately leave and just stared at the coffee in his cup, lost in thought.

Until someone sat across from him.

"I remember telling Fury not to disturb me."

Jack glanced at the unexpected visitor, who had a friendly smile and kind eyes that gave him despite his receding hairline.

In the Marvel movies, only one person fit this description.

"I'm sorry, but Director Fury wants to know your purpose for coming back," Coulson said naturally, without feeling embarrassed by Jack's words. "After all, you disappeared for decades and suddenly reappeared with two war orphans."

Jack looked at him with amusement and shook his head. "I had no hidden agenda and just wanted a peaceful life, talk to Nick Fury i didn't want to be bothered."

At that moment, a waitress brought a cup of coffee to Coulson, and Jack stood up and patted his shoulder. "I got this for you. Drink up, don't waste it."

After saying that, he left the coffee shop with no other customers. Coulson looked at the steaming coffee in front of him and was speechless for a moment.
