Capítulo 46: Inazuma Arc (explanation)
This will be the last chapter of this kind I release, as this will be the last 'big turn' in the novel.
Something a lot of people will like, at some point I will use 3rd person POV. Kenshin's monologues will come to an end, and the world will gain importance. The story will still be around him, but we will see how other characters react and think not only through his eyes.
Kenshin is still playing pranks, but he does not have the same childish attitude, at least that was what I tried to write.
As I'm sure you know by now, I try to be 'realistic', and try to make 'alive' characters. I try at least.
So imagine my dismay when I had to write Ei.
I needed a 'credible' way to explain how the Decrees fucking Inazuma up came to happen, and like it or not, Ei was the culprit. Believe me, I'm the number 1 Ei fanboy, but it's a fact.
So even if it looks like I'm bashing Ei, I can certainly say I' m not. The more the arc advances the more will be explained.
Lastly, Inazuma is fucked up. It was in the 2.0, and it had been for a few years. I know a lot of people haven't played Genshin, all you need to know is that the police were extorting outsiders, clans were killing each other and corruption ran rampant.
And all Hoyoverse gave us was a sudden 'Oh, I will think it over. Hmmm, yes, I was wrong. Well, if you suffered, get fucked because everything is resolved now. A few people died, but meh, who cares' at the end of the Arc.
And just like that, the main 'villain' was suddenly a 'good character'. But because Ei had boobs, everyone accepted it.
And that was honestly....lamentable, considering the amount of millions Hoyoverse has to make a good story, but what would I know?
I may have added some 'drama', but I think it's how things were in Inazuma before the Traveller arrived.
Kenshin will learn how to fight, develop his power and the romance will 'appear' but not start until the end of the arc.
This is the last arc of Kenshin's arc, so to speak. We saw him grow from a baby to a teenager and an adult by the end of this arc. So this is the 'final' arc before canon starts.
After this, canon will start, so my job of 'making the character' is finished. I will add twists so he is not only a passenger in the story during canon, and I won't introduce OC, aside from the Being.
I understand that the fic will take a 'darker' tone, and those of you who wanted the same comedy to continue may not like the 'drama', but I NEED Kenshin to grow, even I got tired of writing him as a child.
Anyway, we surpassed the 100K words long ago, and even if the wait was long, I could have the novel started here.
To be honest, this novel only started as a way to 'relax' from the other PGR one I was writing. I have 100K words of that one, but I'm not sure I want to publish it.
Anyway, the fic will focus more in the story with some 'fun' chapters in between, but I'm stepping on the gas now.
I finished Mondstadt (canon) arc, and I'm tired. Hopefully I can recover before we reach the last chapter I've written.
