Escreva uma avaliaçãoStarted great, seemed like a satisfying novel about medicine, surgery, and so on. However, the author seems to have read too many xianxia/wuxia novels, for some reason, in a hospital, one department looks down on another, without regards for the roles they are specifically made for, and even sometimes risks people's lives for "face". For example, a bit of spoilers The department of emergency has a goal of never losing. What does this mean? it means that when a patient comes to them, they have as a role to make sure that the patient lives and is quickly transferred to the right department/specialists. Thus, the department of emergency is a jack of trades, master of none by design. While other departments are specialists, designed to "win" as their role, which means they should actually "cure" the patient based on their speciality. Thus, they are a master of one. These roles are logical, efficient, and shows how important the emergency department is, how central it's role is in a hospital. However, in this novel, all doctors look down on that department and constantly criticize it, simply because they are not "specialists" and can't solve everything by themselves. This is brain rot. By design, the emergency department is not supposed to solve everything, or else, what need is there for other departments? Might as well make the whole hospital and emergency hospital. It's crazy to me how even "lower" ranking doctors, treat the department head of the emergency department, as if they're freaking children. Their attitude would seriously not work in real life, since the top of the hospital should have punished them for it. Now then, why do I say it feels like xianxia/wuxia? Well, you can already somewhat guess it, the department heads keep fighting for.... you guessed right.. their "face", and... guess who fights and slaps other people's faces? The MC. He needs to save the "face" of his department after all, since the other doctors act like children, bickering with a department that by design isn't supposed to specialize. Believing them useless. Honestly, I'll read a bit more to see, but if it keeps up like that, then meh.
Revelar SpoilerAfter I finished reading the available chapters, I thought about the various aspects of the story such as characters and their interactions, the system and how it works with the MC, the events that occur, ect... I find that the story is rather bland. It is obviously written by someone who has some knowledge about the medical field, or even a lot of knowledge, but the story just does not excite me. Maybe it gets better, and I can only hope so, but it is not enough as is for me to recommend it.
Very interesting take on the common system genre stories, never seen a medical one. The ways the system is written seem to make sense except for the speed that the MC can progress from just being an intern. Otherwise I quite like the story. 4/5
Best trial read in a while. I hope this gets selected. Ignore the cover art. This is a magical realism novel.
Among all medic webnovels I have read, this is somewhat average The system is good. It doesn’t parachute mastery of skills in his mind. Which is nice after all the overpowered systems The problem is the MC. His diagnostic levels are low yet he is diagnosing patients better than the the attending and chiefs all the time. Since the system says you are low levelled then you can’t simply have him be a Sherlock Holmes level genius simply to do some face slapping. Let him build some character first. I was easily willing to read some common low level doctor-patient incidents first which would help MC get some creditability and then jump to higher standards but this one face slaps the chief of departments inside 60 chapters The rest is okay. Some familiar tropes like those who study abroad cannot be as good as the one locally. Some nationality sprinkled here and there. Worth a read if you got nothing else
this is among my top 2 trial read for this batch, the author really did in depth research and didn't pull things out of his but
I liked this series, overall this novel have the same problems that the majority of Chinese novels have, extremely long chapters with much unnecessary explanations and examples, I know this novel is turned more to technical but the author doesn't know to be concise, and sometimes after an explanation he deviates even further utilizing an example, I started to skip these parts, because this take half to 90% of the chapter, in the late chapters an patient takes a photo and he goes to explain that the photo has good quality and it was because the technology utilized on the smartphone today is superior a normal cameras, this part don't add anything to the story. I still liked very much this novel but it was because I skipped mostly of the verbiage when I saw that these parts didn't add anything to the story, if you do this it's a decent story if you want to read all the story unskipping then this novel is trash.
Enjoying it so far. I’m medically inclined and while, in my opinion, some of the medical stuff is off. In reference to bacteria and viruses. This story is fun, exciting and provides a decent amount of medical information for me to enjoy. I can’t wait for more chapters to come out. The female characters are also enjoyable to read about and provide a nice change to all of the medical stuff lol.
This is trash, mc is a simp, girl is disrespecting him and he's like wow she's so hot. and obviously every five chapters you will get china this china that western bad thing. I was liking the medical part but this simp mc with no self respect is unbearable.
This is a a good medical novel. I like the MC, he’s hardworking and truly believes in the values a Dr should have. The fl is of the standard jade beauty 🙄. She’s annoying and judgmental. Despite my dislike of the fl, I did like the plot, but this novel was dropped. Just a fyi to anyone who wanted to know
This book has a lot of potential and the translation is one of the best on this site. I like that is a more realistic medicine novel
The mc acts like a thirsty virgin loser and literally mortgaged his house to take out a loan to pay a girl to be his girlfriend. The interactions between people resemble face slapping xianxia novels with people obsessed with "face" and "politics" which really does not fit in a doctor novel. Also, the mc continuously manages to diagnose illnesses that no one else can while having the lowest proficiency in diagnostics. It is like the system is obsolete and have nothing to do with actual skill or perhaps the MC is the only one who has a brain.
Good quality novel that is very engaging and interesting. If not for minor sidetrackings from main theme and common nationalist insert it would be even better
Imho when writing semi-realism for an international audience nationalism is expected, maybe even appreciated, but such heavy promotion of bloodline supremacy is just trolling. It's a hospital novel!
Several things to take note of before reading this: 1. MC is so plain. It's like he doesn't have his own personality at all. Very jarring to be honest. 2. System is so random. It's like something you put randomly to make the story have something unique. Also, the fact that the MC just immediately accepted the random system and go on his life immediately doesn't sit right with me. He doesn't even get flustered or anything like that. 3. "CHINA IS THE GREATEST propaganda and super sexist. If you're misogynistic, you can go ahead and enjoy this novel. Thats's all
This was one of the best medical stories I've read. The System doesn't just air drop OP skills from the start, nor gives him quests/tasks, but sits there looking nice and pretty. It just polishes his skills once they level up. MC Zhou Can needs to still put in a lot of effort, practice and continue learning to gain experience and improve his medical skills. Just because I like it doesn't mean you will like it too, so just read through the free chapters.
