I enjoy when a story isn't rushed and when it's well written, and these certainly apply to this story. It is eloquently worded and it spends much time on describing the interactions between characters as well as the thoughts of the main character. These are both the book's greatest strenths and weaknesses in my opinion. To illustrate this I will write two lines essentially describing the same thing: -"He could not help but allow the lurking smile at the back of his mind grow on his face as he expressed the feeling his thoughts gave him" -"He smiled at the thought" I enjoy these lengthy descriptions... but not when the book is full of them. Most of the descriptions are like the first option, and I got tired of it pretty quickly. The phrase "could not help but" is also unnecessarily abused to an almost hilarious degree. While I certainly cannot fault the author on their english, I wish they would consider the time to use these dragged out ways to say things that could be short and concise. Which brings me to my second point, the pacing. Dear lord is the pacing slow, which I also enjoy at times, but only if we get some action in between. Those who have read the book may be thinking "wasn't the monster wave enough action?" and to that I say, it should have been half as lengthy and have more fighting rather than pointless dialogue. Also, the monsters are literally only described as that, 'monsters'. Nothing is said about how the regular monsters look in the first couple of chapters of the fight. I'd say, give the book a chance, those of the same opinion as me regarding pacing and language will quickly realize it isn't for them, and for the less picky, I believe you will enjoy it. It certainly isn't bad by any means, but I will not be reading more than 60 chapters of it. Hope you can take some of the criticism to heart and improve author, flaws aside I think you have a good story in you.

bruh, this is about as informative and constructive as the "EXP EXP EXP EXP EXP EXP EXP EXP" reviews. If you don't know why you think the way you do, then don't spend your time making reviews

After finishing the first volume is hard to put into words how much I love this story, and how much I have enjoyed binge-reading it the last two days. To preface the review I feel it is relevant to mention that I have 161 read books as indicated by my profile, and I have deemed maybe ten of those good enough to read more than 10-20 chapters. I very often encounter books that seem very promising, having an interesting premise and synopsis, impressive reviews and whatnot, only for it to disappoint me again and again. I sometimes wonder if the readers on this site actually have taste whatsoever, how people can tolerate the abysmal standard of english and uninspired writing. This book along with a depressingly low number of other books I have read on this site I will proudly call not only readable and worth your time, but really good. Coming from me, this is very high praise. I am very picky and bore extremely easily. Some would consider me a snob if they knew what stories I have given up on, even after reading more than a hundred chapters, just because of something seemingly small and easily insignificant. I realize how all of this makes me look like a stuck-up piece of crap, but instead of paying attention to me, please use that time reading this absolute gem of a book. For the love of all that is holy and good in this world, if you are on the fence, please give it a chance! I have a hard time putting my thoughts into words that would adequately describe what it is that make it so great, so I will just say that this is my favourite piece of litterature I have read for probably a year, which includes physical, published books that I also frequently read. The world background is incredibly interesting, the character design makes me yearn for more details and the development of these aforementioned characters is great. The story had me on the edge of my seat more times than I can count, and the author treats the readers like degenerate masochists considering how often there are almost unbearable cliff-hangers. They say a picture is worth over a thousand words, so lastly I will try to convey my feelings for this book with a series of cute pictures in the form of a GIF hoping that this will be enough to convince those who are still hesitant.
