u can tell from this..he didnt want wwx to give his core to him and he wanted him to take care of himself first. he just wanted to live a happy, normal peaceful life with wwx. but things turned out other way. he lost his parents and just later he lost his golden core while saving his brother. he wanted to take revenge on wens but cant do it without his golden core and he was devastated. the dream of he and wwx gng to rule together got vanished. but again wwx gave him hope on that dream and his revenge by saying he can repair his golden core (ofc he love his bro so much and cant see him devastated) but right after having hope, wwx went missing and was found later just to know he is now following demonic path (not wwx fault tho) now yet again his hope is destroyed. and then his sisters husband is killed while she had a child because of wwx (ACC to people) and then his sister. and lastly wwx suicide (though after lwj caught him and jc killed him) all jc had at the end was jin ling. tbh we can say he lived for jin ling and a hope to have wwx back. jc had his bad. but ofc I do agree on...if only jc was on wwx side and defended him.
