The walls were tall in order to maintain some privacy and there were many guards standing outside the door.
The Grand Princess stopped outside the palace, and several serving maids stepped up to help her off the ox-cart. The sky was dark and gloomy, as if it was about to rain any moment. A pair of eunuchs were carrying lanterns, waiting for them. Seeing that she had arrived, they immediately welcomed her, "This way!"
