4.9I woke up in a familiar place, forced to retrace my steps. In my fleeting memories, I had access to a System. In my bag, I found a letter detailing a quest. And when I met my first ally... I found out I was the leader of an adventuring company. ...But what kind of company is this? The thief is a coward. The swordsman is a cultist. The big guy's an idiot. The boy is 9. The horse doesn't respect me. And... I'm a snake? Between training, keeping my "new" allies out of trouble, murdering those who dare disrespect Guild Invictus, and figuring who exactly I am... Will I ever finish this quest? Schedule: 10+ chapters per week, Mon-Fri @ 11:00 PST Chapter Length: 1000+ words per chapter https://discord.gg/NNbAj7N Here's my discord. Constructive criticism is welcome. Other Authors extra-welcome.

Welcome to California, home of the infamous serial killers who've taken the lives of gang members throughout the state. For months their existence has been known, yet the police have been incapable of finding any leads or evidence other than the dismembered bodies left at their doorsteps. California Butchers, the public calls them. Soon people will realize that these serial killers wield magic. In this world parallel to our own, magic is known and creatures roam alongside humans. Hiding their nature and true origins in fear of being arrested for false claims, captured and sold to research facilities or organizations. Hated and discriminated against simply because they have "the upper hand" in this world. Luna and Draco Yang are the siblings who've earned the title of California Butchers. The mafia, the police and this unknown organization tied to their past are after them. To kill them, to imprison them or to utilize them. The Yang siblings will fight with fists, guns and magic to keep each other safe and they'd rather die before capture.
Aaron is the son of a real estate mogul - but unlike all the other stories here, he is hated by his family because he is a bastard. He was born because his father prefers to spend his time with young lovers (and willingly distributes his seeds) than with his aging wife. A quite charming honourable family. But this story only revolves around Aaron's origins on the edge. Actually, it's about his discovery in the forest where Aaron cuts down trees instead of killing his family. Aaron discovers a portal into another world and thus becomes a globetrotter. A shitty system must not be missing there, of course.... This story is not suitable for children. There is violence, murder and manslaughter - and everything else nice in between. There are no shitty warnings that hinder the flow of reading in this novel at all. The name of the story will probably be changed in the future. As soon as I - or a helpful reader - can think of something more suitable.
