Abner Aarush was born in the slums. To be accurate, he was dumped by his good-for-nothing parents in the slums when he was 6 months old. Hard to imagine how a 6 month old infant can survive all by himself in such a dangerous and disgusting place. But Abner somehow managed to survive and live in such a dark place, and even managed to go even deeper into the darkest place of all. The Underworld. The place where the sun doesn’t shine, somewhere light doesn’t reach. He ruled over the dark, and all the people in the dark like him. Yet he tried to bring them light. He saw everyday how people suffered there, even some who said they were alright, alright doing such awful, sinful things yet were crying on the inside. He tried to give them even a tiny bit of light but, he died. And came to in someone else’s body. What will become of him? What will become of his gang? What will become of all his efforts? There’s no way Abner will just let all his hard work go to waste. Definitely not on his watch. So read on as Abner takes back what was rightfully his and bring the whole sun shining down on the slums and the Underworld. ———————————————————————— I was inspired by one of the scenes in the novel “I Am the Monarch” to write this story.
