Raised and beaten in a world ‘where the strong would bully the weak,’ our main protagonist Elias, age 14 had to grow up quick to protect his mother from his abusive father. Yet one day coming back from school after being bashed in the boys locker room he finds an over hanging shadow. ‘Somehow she looked peaceful with her hair covered face,’ the slight shadow overcast, my eyes on her peaceful slumber. She wasn’t dead, merely resting within the air itself. Elias not knowing how to react to his mothers suicide and his father no where to be seen, he runs out onto a busy street and gets hit by a car. His last moments were of disbelief and sadness, he’d thought he was strong enough. He thought he could protect his mother; false hopes and goals of a mere human. Yet within his dying wishes a voice calmed his trembling young soul, “I shall give you the strength you desire to protect those you love so dearly” With that he wakes to a calm breeze and peace he’d not experienced in years. The smell of soil and the heat of the sun- yet something was off. He couldn’t move, he couldn’t talk yet he could breathe? What had he become!? Where was he!? Elias was pretty sure he died, so what did this all mean!?
Centuries of misfortune on Earth led the the mass transmigration to another world when the ability to sustain Life had started to fail. A world of Magic and Terror locked the human population into a frenzy for power and dominance over the landscape. The Earth had died and even the portal had collapsed from the increased upheavals and solar flares, the population of the earth that remained scattered across the new world like cockroaches. 3,000 years later and the humans of earth had not forgotten their home, the problems they created, and those they left behind.
