ตอน 19: Chapter 19
Itachi POV
The Alvarez Empire was located on the western continent of Alakitasia. It lied towards the west of Ishgar, across a vast ocean that traveling there by boat would take about ten days to reach. The exact borders are not known, but it was said to span a large portion of the landmass.
Well it would take 10 days to travel there by boat and unfortunately, Kamui would be useless in this situation because I had never been to Alvarez before.
So I did what I had always wanted to do...
Pull a Jesu- walk across the expansive ocean for months.

Well, I got bored of that after three and a half minutes. (AN: Main cover bruh moment.)
Time to check my status. Haven't seen it in a while.

"...I did not think you would defect from Ishgar this soon."
His calm voice was irritating to my ears. What right did a 9th rank Saint have over me? God Serena?
And...
"How did you know of it...? Uchiha Itachi."
He remained silent for a moment as I awaited his answer.
"Why guess when I could simply have you tell me? I applaud you for just now assisting me with my confirmation. Not many would so blatantly declare themselves a traitor."

Third Person POV
Itachi watched on as God Serena had a furious look in his eyes, shaking the surrounding land with his magic all while glaring at him.
"Itachi Uchiha. The Elusive Eyes of Fairy Tail. I've heard all about your Illusion Magic. One look to rule them all, was it? Unfortunately for you, you are outmatched here! My magic power is too immense for you to disrupt it!"
Itachi stood his ground, facing the shockwaves of wind that came from God Serena's immense magic power as his cloak fluttered in the wind.
"You are right, Serena. With 8 Dragon Slayer Lacrimas inside of you, my illusion would be useless against you. So come, defeat me... Show me what makes you so arrogant."
As God Serena heard Itachi's calm yet disdainful, he felt infuriated that someone would dare question his power.
Serena grinned with an evil light in his eyes.
"Very well then! Let me give you a taste of what a God can do!"
Saying so, he slapped his right hand onto the ground, causing the ground to crack.
*Crack*
Not even three seconds later, and the ground within several dozens of meters where Itachi stood shattered, the rocks falling into the void.
Itachi gracefully used the falling rocks as stepping stones, immediately hopping back up onto even ground.
However, a barrage of hill-sized boulders came hurtling his way, completely burying him.
Serena looked at the pile of rocks and scoffed.
"It's over! In one move! This fight as been brought to a close by me! God Serena!" said Serena as he flamboyantly spread both of his arms wide, gazing up at the sky.
However, his prideful smile froze on his face as when he heard the calm voice of Itachi.
"Impressive. Cavern Dragon Slayer Magic, was it?"
Serena dropped his arms, looking a bit surprised as he saw an orange aura seeped through the cracks in the boulders.
The boulders then slowly toppled off one another, revealing a giant, orange humanoid skeleton figure that encompassed Itachi.
"What? How?" asked Serena, now curious. Still, he was not at all worried about his odds of winning this fight.
Itachi then looked at Serena, smiling calmly.
"Truly worthy of the title "Strongest Mage of Ishgar." Your attack had managed to crack the skeletal form of my defense."
Serena grit his teeth in anger, turning his right hand upwards as flames appeared.
"Not many are worthy of perishing by two of my magics."
"Die."
Serena flame covered hand seemed to dye the surroundings in an orange heat, raising the temperatures by several degrees.
He then faced his palm towards the giant skeleton figure and a wave of flames erupted forth from his palm, engulfing Itachi.
Feeling that his last attack was shameful to have not finished the battle in one blow, he continued to pump magic energy into this Purgatory Fire wave which lasted for another few minutes. The smoke covered the results of the attack but Serena thought so otherwise.
Serena believed that his fire would've finished the job and then turned around, walking away as he laughed to himself.
"Pathetic. All that talk for nothing. Elusive my ass! He couldn't even-"
He then narrowed his eyes as he noticed the world had suddenly been dyed red and white.
Serena laughed aloud, not at all fearful of the Elusive Eye's Illusion Magic.
"What a joke."
He turned around, unsurprised to see a badly burnt Itachi that was gasping in exhaustion.
"So it seems you survived, though quite incinerated. Is this your last attempt at winning? This flimsy illusion magic?" taunted Serena.
Serena gazed up at the red sky, barely holding in his laughter.
"Do you actually believe that I couldn't break out of this illusion?"
A mountain-sized rock clad in fire cast its shadow over Serena and he stared at it, grinning confidently.
"Look closely, Uchiha Itachi. For this will be your last sight. The illusion magic you were so proud of, completely shattering."
Serena then squinted his eyes at the incoming meteor and laughed derisively as cracks began to appear through the sky.
Moments later, the cracks began to appear in the millions, and the sky shattered apart. The world had been returned to its green and blue.
"Easy. And just like that, you've lost, miserably."
He then turned back to where Itachi stood but was surprised to not see him.
"You're running now? Haha! Don't you th-"
"Argh!"
Serena's arrogant boasting was interrupted when he heard a loud voice that seemed to echo throughout the skies. It sounded omnipresent.
"Knowledge and awareness are vague and perhaps better-called illusions. Everyone lives within their own subjective interpretation."
He covered his ears and looked around, growing fearful.
"W-What? Where is this voice coming from?"
"-And the highest levels of illusions is when my reality...
"...collides into yours."
Serena heard the loud shattering of the skies above once more, and this time it wasn't by his will.
He gazed up in terror, as a part of the sky had been torn apart, leaving way for the mountain-sized meteor to breakthrough.
Immediately stepping back, he channeled all of his magic power in an attempt of pushing the meteor back.
However, it felt as if someone was suppressing his magic energy.
He looked around in fear, trying his best to convince himself it was all just an illusion in an attempt to break it. But somehow, he couldn't. He was scared of that meteor, and he couldn't tell himself otherwise.
Serena felt that time slowed as the meteor slowly approached him and he was too slow to do anything about it.
"This... this is an illusion! W-Why am I?"
He then saw Itachi's figure at the corner of his vision, sitting on a tree stump.
"You! What did you do to me!"
However, his questions seemed to fall on deaf ears as Itachi began to talk of something else.
"It's strange, isn't it? The line between illusion and reality is often so blurred, that you do not know what is real or false. But for some odd reason, everyone always has unique confidence in themselves and what they know is true, until its fragile particles are swept away."
"But I digress. All of that can be swept away when one's power begins to change what fabricates reality."
"Look closely, God Serena. For this will be your last sight. The illusion magic that I am so proud of, completely shattering your reality."
