Luckily for him (or unlucky depending on how you see it) death also had other plans, when he wakes up he finds he is in the presence of the divines, who rule his soul to be a candidate for Project Awakening. Thus, the story of Ingen the engineer who was propelled into a world of magic without his say begins.
