ตอน 3: Awakening ceremony pt.2

Once everybody was seated the bishop started by welcoming everybody and had them pray together with him. Then he started by calling the kids forward one by one. During the ceremony the kids would have to go towards the altar and kneel. When they did that the bishop would insert a bit of his mana while doing a prayer only know to some people in the church. When the prayer was done the kids would have to touch a magic ball on the altar. When they touch this the elements they have and how strong they are would be shown.

One by one the kids would go up and complete their ceremony. A few kids had 4 elements but there weren't any unique geniuses. That was until Taigen's turn came around. When he touched the ball 5 colors brightly shone through the church. In addition to that his lineage power power also got more powerful than his father's. Previously his family could double the power of their magic for 2 hours with a 1 hour cooldown time. Taigen was able to quadruple his power and only had half an hour of cooldown time. An upgrade of this magnitude meant god saw him as someone destined for great things. Taigen who went up to the altar still shook about who he offended came back down proud with a smug look on his face. Only to see Akira and Kaori still laughing and seemingly unfazed. This made him even more annoyed at Akira and at that moment he declared Akira his rival.

When it was Kaori's turn people started paying extra attention. Kaori was only the second child and because she was a woman not as important in politics but she was still a royal. Akira wished her good luck when she went to the altar to Which she replied with a smile while saying "I got this don't worry. I am the princess after all." They both chuckled and when Kaori's ceremony was complete people were in shock once again "This is the second person with 5 elements!" One lady said surprised. Penta mages were a rate occurrence and especially when 2 of them show up in one year. To add on top of that Kaori also had her lineage power become stronger. The royal family's lineage power was a summoning power. However unlike most summoning powers where the summon would have to be either dead or beaten in a fight by the summoner the royal family's power allowed them to summon a creature equaling their strength and able to grow together with them. Kaori took this to a whole new level, she was able to summon monsters that could be up to 4 times stronger than her and who were absolutely obedient to her. This even impressed Akira. He sent a smile her way and when she returned she said "I hope you can keep up with me." In a teasing tone. "I think you should hope to keep up with me." Akira said in an extremely confident tone making Kaori wonder why he was so confident.

It was finally Akira's turn. He was a bit annoyed that he had to wait till the last person but he was also happy so he could show off. His awakening was a big deal since both his grandfather and father were penta mages who were known to be very powerful. However when Akira touched the ball a bright light showed in 7 colours. This in addition to him also having a more powerful lineage power than his fathermade Kaori and Taigen seem like normal people. Now don't misunderstand having a more powerful lineage power than your parents is rare. This would signal that a child is loved by the gods. So even if he was the third person today to be loved by god it was till very rare.

The whole church was quiet. Everybody was shocked to see a child who had seemingly endless potential appear right in front of them. At that moment Taigen understood why Akira was unfazed by his ceremony:" He knew this would happen." As Akira went back to talk to Kaori he clearly noticed how surprised she was so he decided to take revenge from when she came back. "What is it princess? Are you shocked, scared you won't be able to keep up." Unexpectedly this didn't bother her at all. "That is so cool!" Was the only thing she replied.

Somewhere in a more secluded room in the church you could find 2 old men talking. "So that was your grandson, not bad." "Your granddaughter wasn't bad either." The two old men said while chuckling. One of the two old men was Uchiha Eichiro Akira's grandfather . The other was the former king of this country Hamamoto Takeo. The men also leave and meet up with their grandchildren who had already said goodbye to each other.

"So Kaori what's up with the boy you kept clinging onto." Takeo said teasing her. "I wasn't clinging to him we were talking." Kaori says while pouting. "But he was nice." She said a bit softer."

Eichiro went to his son and daughter-in-law to say hello "How are my son and his beautiful wife doing?" He said slightly startling them. "Father I didn't know you were here." Daisuke said while hugging his father. "I met up with an old friend who's granddaughter also had her ceremony today." "Ah grandpa hello." Akira said as he had joined them. "Very well I assume you are the same with what happened today." Eichiro replied clearly proud of his Grandson. "I couldn't have our family look normal now could I." Akira said proudly.

The family then returned home together. During the trip home Akira was urging his father to start teaching him magic right away but Daisuke refused. "It's getting late now I'll teach you tomorrow." He said calmly. Once home they had dinner, talked for a bit and went to sleep. Well Akira didn't, he went outside because he wanted to see if he could learn magic on his own. He reckoned if he could recreate the feeling he had when the bishop gave him mana and combine that with his skills from his previous he could start training already.
