William couldn't help but be speechless for a long time. If his Potential Points balance had reached over a hundred million, that meant he could literally upgrade anything he wanted! The System would even reach A-Rank, meaning he would unlock a bunch of new Ascended Talents right away!

He started by upgrading the Time and Illusion Affinities to X-Rank, spending 1.3 million Potential Points in one go. As the upgrade commenced, the air twisted and swirled while the time around William moved backwards then forwards, sending William's body into disarray.

The Time Element's upgrades alone were enough for William to lose almost four hundred years of his lifespan, but the Illusion Element seemed to do almost just as much. William found his body disconnecting from the World temporarily, as the Illusion Element created apparitions around him that threatened to tear William apart.
