ตอน 17: Seduce Him?
"Mom…" Nicholas tried to appease his mother. "We don't even know one-"
"B*llsh*t!" Rosa was angry at how her own son was handling his marriage. "Don't become your dad and treat your marriage like some contract! Don't you remember what happened to me?! If not for you, I'd have been kicked out a long time ago! Now go, go! Enter that bedroom of yours!"
"...Okay."
"Huh?! Okay?" Abigail was shocked to hear that. She didn't expect her cold and ruthless husband to agree to such an absurd demand at all!
She had imagined the man making excuses one after another, but in the end, he actually accepted it!
Nicholas didn't even spare her a glance as he turned around and walked toward his room at a quicker pace. Standing beside her daughter-in-law, Rosa giggled and said, "That's Nick for sure. He has always been shy at heart. He won't really share his emotions with you despite feeling tons."
Abigail nodded. She knew his habit very well since she had made this character. Originally, she wanted to make him a side character, but when writing that Nicholas death chapter, she was in a terrible mood and killed him in a fit of anger. But when she wanted to rewrite the whole thing, the death of such a character actually made sense and gave the entire novel a mysterious touch!
After all, what would be better than showing a death scene to allure the readers?
Abigail was thinking about her wondrous story that she didn't get to finish when her mother-in-law poked the side of her stomach and said, "What are you waiting for? Go and seduce him!"
"Huh? Seduce him?" Abigail wasn't thinking about it at all.
To her, this world was a mere small creation of her own novel. Even though she found Nicholas handsome, how could she consider seducing the man? Sure, she married him, but that was an accident!
To her, Nicholas was a plaything for her. She would gain immense pleasure to see him in an 'angry mood but cannot do a thing about it' kind of condition. So, for now, she couldn't see any reason as to why she should seduce him.
Even though Abigail looked like she had accepted her situation, she still wanted to return to her world. So, this place was only her temporary dwelling; if possible, she wouldn't want to be attached to the characters she created herself. She was very clear on this.
Maybe this entire thing was just a dream, as she thought of earlier. One day, she would wake up only to find everything gone, like a fire turning into a wisp of smoke. What would she do then?
A trace of anxiety filled her eyes as she swallowed.
When she saw the younger woman's pale face, Rosa misunderstood as she instantly straightened up her back and said, "What, does he not treat you well?" She firmly held onto Abigail's shoulders and said seriously, "Tell me, girl! What did he do?"
Abigail wasn't in her right mind as she wailed and covered her face with her hands, sobbing loudly as if she lost something very dear. In her mind, she had already become a little attached to this world.
If she were to wake up to her reality, where would she find another Nicholas to tease, ah?!
At this time, she didn't even realize that she was already firmly attached to the man. She only thought of her boring, mental asylum world back in her original world and cried even more.
Her life would be full of pale furniture and boring medicines! Ah, she didn't want to return to her world anymore!
When she thought of separating from her only source of pleasure, she felt her heart pierced by arrows from all sides, making her cry even more. Ultimately, she even trembled for the fear of returning to her world.
What if someone woke her up?

She was enjoying this place way too much!
Her entire body started to tremble at the thought of 'waking up' to her reality.
The more she sobbed, the more anxious Rosa became. She quickly patted the back of her daughter-in-law and said worriedly, "Should I get you something to eat?" No reply. "Abigail?" Still no reply. "What happened to you?"
"She's just having one of her mood swings." Nicholas, who had been watching the entire scene from upstairs for who knows how long, spoke coldly and sneered. "Just an attention seeker, nothing else."
"How can you talk in such a tone, Nicholas!"

Her ears seemed to be working perfectly now.
Abigail's reddened eyes rose, and she looked at the man standing on the staircase. Her eyes lit up as she broke away from her mother-in-law, rushing toward the man. She instantly grabbed his hand and touched it, feeling relieved.
Ah, he didn't disappear. Her 'entertainment' is still here, alive! No one was going to wake her up anytime soon!
"What are you doing?" Nicholas's cold voice suddenly echoed into her ears, making Abigail return to her senses.
She blinked and realized the awkward situation she was currently in:
An anxious mother-in-law glared continuously at her own son, and Nicholas's cold and icy gaze darted at Abigail as if wanting to kill her at the moment's notice.
Abigail coughed and said, "Well… Good night."
Instead of explaining herself, avoiding unnecessary trouble and going away was better. But she heard the mother-in-law speaking harshly to her son before she could, "Look, what have you done to her?! She's crying like heck! This definitely must be your fault!"
"I'm not going to explain myself here." Nicholas was also angry, seeing how his own mother sided with his enemy. The more he thought about it, the angrier he became. "Whatever. I have to sleep. You should return."
"Return?" Rosa laughed out of anger. "Not until I help you build your relationship! I'm not going anywhere, you hear me? Now go back to your room and make sure you bring your wife in with you, otherwise you'll find yourself in the living room with me lecturing you throughout the night!"
Nicholas looked at his fuming mother and found no way of refusing her. Even though he wasn't afraid, his mom was his only weakness. So he looked a little helpless and angry as he approached his bedroom.
