ตอน 8: Farfetch'd?(Crossed Out) Zoro!
The next day
Ace, Noibat, Tyrunt, Archen, Cranidos, and Farfetch'd were in the backyard, stretching.
All of them had weights on that fitted them perfectly.
"One and Two and Three and Four!"
"Noi Noi Noi Noibat!"
"Ty Ty Ty Tyrunt!"
"Cran Cran Cran Cranidos!"
"Far Far Far Farfetch'd!"
Ace paused and looked at Archen, she looked back at him blankly and there was a silence before Ace heard Lacrimosa playing again. He turned his head around sharply, finding nothing…
After stretching, Ace explained the itinerary for today before running out of the backyard and down the winding road into Oreburgh, "Archen, Farfetch'd, and Noibat. You three will be constantly flying. Tyrunt and Cranidos, you two follow behind me. We'll do a light jog."
The Pokemon cheered and started.
5 hours later
Ace stood in front of the Pokemon Center, sighing as he looked at the 5 Pokemon gasping and wheezing. He put his hands on his hips and sighed again, "You guys need a lot of work… Even a simple warm-up run exhausts you so bad?"
Noibat was on his wings and knees, wheezing on the ground. He raised a trembling wing pointing at Ace before collapsing.
Ace had a harness on his back with the Meowth Egg in it, turning to say, "You can't be like these guys. You'll be a good little guy, won't you?" The Egg seemed to shake in approval, making Ace nod with satisfaction before turning to the funny quintet, sighing again, "Come on, the Warm-up is over."
The 5 little ones perked up, looking at Ace with tears in their eyes, seemingly saying 'Oh Master! You're so kind~'
Ace smiled at them and nodded, "That's right. Time to train hard!" The 5 froze and collapsed in disbelief…
Ace hummed to himself as he started running again, the 5 struggled to follow him…
Back at home, Ace started a whole new round of training.
Push-ups!
Pull-ups!
Squats!
Sit-ups!
Weight lifting!
Ace watched Noibat hold up a stick over his head while squatting and roar, "NOIBAT!" before clapping, "Very good! Nice Clean and Press! Though your posture is a bit…" Noibat dropped the stick and chirped, "Noi? Noi Noibat? Noi Noi Noi!"
Ace was stunned and retorted, "What do you mean 'Not training for Pokemon'???" Noibat waved his wings and clapped them, snorting, "Noibat!" Ace grabbed his little body and squeezed him like a stress doll, making his eyes bulge, "This is called Body Training! How can you learn powerful moves without a powerful body!? You think I'm crazy?! Crazy?! I was crazy once!"
Noibat squeaked and Ace stopped, humming, "Fine, I'll give you guys an out." the other 4 looked at him hopefully as Ace smiled, "When you can beat me, you can stop training." The 5 Pokemons' eyes burst with light and attacked Ace immediately.
Ace laughed and his hand used Double Team, the next instant the 5 Pokemon were flying face first in the ground, laid out like Staryu. Ace burst out laughing and walked away, adding, "Like that'll ever happen! Bahahahaha!"
A while later
The 5 Pokemon woke up and looked at eachother, sighing sadly. Noibat stood up and his ear twitched, "Noi?" the 4 looked at him as he walked away quickly. They quickly followed and all 5 froze at the scene.
Ace was sweating buckets, standing in a horse stance, pushing the solid cliff face with his barefists covered in the Steel Arm Martial Arts technique. There was a small bowl shape in the solid stone in front of him as he continued, breathing in and out slowly.
Noibat muttered, "Noi?!" Farfetch'd sucked in a cold breath of air, "Farfetch'd." Tyrunt and Cranidos looked at each other while Archen stared in a daze.
Finally, they started moving.
Ace was punching, when he noticed the 5 little guys coming and punching the wall. He paused and smiled gently, saying "Hup!" the 5 little guys and Ace punched the wall in unison.
"Hup!" again.
They all had smiles as they trained together.
After training, everyone sat in the Spring, groaning in comfort. Ace held the Meowth Egg in the Spring and rested as the egg shook happily. He leaned on the edge and claimed the Mystery Gift for today.
[Shiny Charm]
Ace looked at the charm in his hand. It looked just like the games! He smiled to himself and put it away, continuing to relax.
This routine continued for a full 6 months!
Today, Ace stretched his arms and yawned while laying on a sofa. His eyes were on a TV that was playing a drama.
Noibat sat on his chest while eating Pokeblocks, watching the drama very intently. Not only him but Farfetch'd sat on the armrest by Ace's head with his eyes closed.
Tyrunt, Cranidos, and Archen were in the backyard laying on the grass but that was mainly because they didn't fit in the house anymore!
All three of them evolved in succession around a month ago!
That wasn't the only change either…
On the floor in front of the couch, there was a little black and gold figure curled up.
[Galarian Meowth (Female)]

[Moves- Payday, Metal Claw, Fake Out, Iron Tail, Double Edge, Swords Dance, Night Slash…]
This was the Meowth that hatched from the egg. Ace's hand scratched the little girl's ears while watching the drama as her expression narrowed happily.
Speaking of, her color was very good looking. Normally, Galarian Meowths were gray and black but his Meowth's colors were a beautiful solid Gold where the gray was supposed to be and the black areas were an even darker shade of black.
Like a bottomless abyss!
This was actually a sign of a very well bred Meowth. For Galarian Meowths, the darker the coin on their heads were, the more strength they had.
Needless to say, Ace's Meowth had the darkest colors.
Although… she was a bit sticky, always staying near Ace no matter what. However, he didn't mind. He was more than happy to have her around.
Not to mention that she was very smart! Training with Ace everyday for these months made all his Pokemon grow by leaps and bounds!
Especially this little girl! She even learned Thunder Punch and Fire Punch! Ace was amazed and proud, praising her repeatedly which made the girl very happy.
Though it sounds absurd, these strength building exercises proved to be very good for Pokemon in addition to humans. After all, it was basic exercises for training which already worked for humans. There was no reason why it wouldn't work for Pokemon too, right?
Facts spoke louder than theories!
Ace's Pokemon built a very solid foundation for the future, adding on the fact that they ate the best Pokemon food, occasional Pokeblocks, and herbs from the system, plus a daily bath in the Healing Spring…
It'd be strange if they didn't get stronger!
So far, the three fossil Pokemon were all in the 50s, Farfetch'd was in the 40s, and Noibat was hovering around 50 at level 48.
As for why the latter two didn't evolve… Ace had no idea! For Noibat, it was fine as he could learn some moves earlier than normal. But for Farfetch'd, Ace was a bit concerned.
He understood the conditions for evolution, get 3 Critical Hits in one battle… But Farfetch'd had already achieved this before!
The main point was that Farfetch'd seemed to be suppressing himself… The most Ace had seen from him was 7 Crits on the same Pokemon!
However, Farfetch'd himself seemed dissatisfied with this. Ace didn't know how many Crits the guy wanted and he did the exactly know if more was better for his evolution.
The one thing he did know was that his Farfetch'd seemed to have turned into a weeb!
Ace sighed at the first time he brought Farfetch'd out… At that time they went to the Oreburgh gym to see if they could train with Byron.
That's right! He was here so early that the gym hadn't been turned over to Roark yet. Byron was still the Gym Leader here, however he was thinking of leaving for Canalave soon…
At any rate, when Ace challenged him, who would've expected it…
Doesn't this funny guy pull out 3 leeks and bite one???
Ace thought he crossed into One Piece for a second…
