I was hoping that there would be more fleshing out of the villains, Alastair, the powers granted by the patrons, etc; however, it started to fall apart and become predictable, and finishing it only left me with unanswered questions and regret. I also kept yearning for a bedroom scene that never materialized 🤷🏻‍♀️
