Gu Wei's lips hovered a breath above Zhai Mei's. The feel of her warm skin still tingling on his lips, and he noticed just how close they were. His arms were around Zhai Mei, unknowingly pulling her to him, her shoulders pressing into his.
The sun was leaving the horizon, and the streetlight buzzed on with a soft hum, casting the two people wrapped around each other in warm light.
In that moment, Gu Wei finally saw everything clearly. Zhai Mei's brown eyes locked into his, her lips parted slightly in a small O, the gloss glowing in the light, her noodled curls tumbling over her shoulder.
The colour on her cheeks reddened at Gu Wei's stare, and she pressed her lips together briefly as if in preparation for something.

This is an extremely slice of life novel, and it might appear at a snails pace but it picks up along the way, and I'm also learning to not waste my readers time with pointless talk as I write.

Ahem, don't all authors do this? A shameless self review? Lol. So 4 stars for this cause it's my first and I know what it lacks and what it doesn't. It's a slow read, but there are beautiful sweet moments in it that make my heart flutter. Yours can too. The writing is simple, as I try to not complicate things with big words and descriptions. Also I'm lazy like that. The romance is a slow build up that makes it all worth it in the end. This is a good pick if you want a light read to laugh to, with sweet C-drama-style romance. But only if you're patient! Cause the plot and characters unfold only after the first 20 chapters, so come prepared with your patience battery high at 100%. I sincerely hope you stay and enjoy the ride with me.
I by-far only read 6 chapters and never expected anything like this. When I noticed that the story is going to be slow-burn with a male MC, thought it was going to be generic. But hell, how wrong I was. The story is captivating to say the least and there is a lot more to develop for writing style which seems to display this apparent struggle at conveying one's emotions. But once you have tackled this, everything is going fine. Keep up the good work.
I’ve read a lot of stories, but Your storytelling is rich and immersive, and the way you capture emotion and setting makes it feel like a living world. I kept thinking how amazing it was, the tone, pacing, and character moments all fit that format so naturally. This story really has the kind of depth and energy that could shine visually too. I also have a few Ideas on how we could enhance it visually if you are open to exploring them, we can talk about it.
Really Really Nice Book. Very Easy and Comforting to Read. So easy, you won't even know when you reached the next chapter lol. My only complaint is the Male Lead, Gu Wei. His actions are intolerable to me. Still a good read though, just wished Gu Wei was a bit better as a person. Keep Up the Good Work Author.
