Özet
That day, the breath of the great whale dispersed the fog, and a new era arrived.
Chen Qi accidentally transmigrated into the steampunk-apocalyptic game world of 'New Sun,' starting with the monstrous talent "Deep Sea Affinity," where ancient deep-sea creatures saw him as one of their own.
Although he possessed the talents of a monster, as a transmigrator, he still maintained the original intentions of humanity, striving to level up with the firm resolve to become a world-renowned Monster Hunter.
Finally, after his relentless efforts, the popular Dove Times sharply commented:
"From the ancient deep sea, a scoundrel with evil bloodlines who threatens witches with tentacles, the arrogant lone Emperor of the Fifth, who aims to conquer the Witch Sea!"
False news, blatant false news!
Even though he grew tentacles, threatened witches, raised sea dragons, collected tolls, and sang the death chorus with sea monsters.
He was truly not of any Deep Sea Ancient God's bloodline but a dedicated and responsible Hunter.
Chen Qi cut down the fleet before him and earnestly clarified.

decent start so far. I have always been fascinated by sea creatures, so this has piqued my interest. I would like to ask a question of the author. Will our Mc try to hold on to his humanity and morals, or will he become more interested in becoming truly villainous in his personality/actions as the story progresses? I'm a fan of ruthless or villainous characters.
great novel with pretty good translation, there may be one or two chinese characters but it doesnt dirsupt the reading anyway, overall great. Great idea for how to make story plus the story line, with well made background.
One of the best novels I've ever read in my sole opinion, There's only one problem, it's very, very slow paced, and takes many chapters for one thing to happens, which is kinda annoying, and makes some parts of the novel very boring. 8/10 novel
it's hard to give an accurate rating, i felt intrigued by the story and liked the plot however the translation is so confusing to keep up with, does anyone know if a better translation is available?
PERFECTO! LOTM but focus more on Sea, pirates, #########################################################################################################################################################################################################################################
For now it is the best novel I have ever read, Atleast until chapter 42 which is where I am right now.
They do really bad job explain power system and I feel lost half the type . The concept and idea REALLY good reminds of of deep sea embers
had to put this book down because the depiction of black characters which wasn't many from beginning to where I stopped reading which was around 200 something chapters but when a black character did appear same stereotype bs. don 't get me wrong I'm not vouching or saying black characters need to be special by any means but stereotyping in a fantasy world is crazy to me id rather the author just left black characters out all together. usually I'd just stop reading and not voice my opinion but I'm seeing a lot of authors doing the exact same thing ...
it's good, really good fun, interesting system and world. ends earilier than expected without tapping full potential tho, around chap 530. this is cos the writing tails off and the author realises this
Absolutely brilliant. There is a fun power system, unique and inspired worldbuilding, and eldritch curiosity, without giving the reader existential dread like in a lot of other similar settings or that some of the background characters experience in this one. All the characters feel realistic and unique. The pacing isn't too fast or slow
