Chương 44: Shit hits the fan

The sound of welding came as Harry worked on the rear part of the truck, Jason was a blur as he assembled the interior of the truck. Arya was assisting Harry in his welding work and Kim was arranging things needed for the truck.

The ambience was quite peaceful and if not for the wreckage all around them it would look like a group of friends experimenting here and there and playing around. But the peace was broken by a sharp siren sounding all around them.

The sky turned crimson as if in just a moment the blood-red clouds would pour down blood-filled rain.

The siren was so loud that it almost hurt their ears it was just like the sirens in movies with a deep sound that indicated an oncoming calamity.

*Dnnnnnnnnnng

All the others looked up with amazement, people all around the world were the same as them looking up at the crimson red sky as they winced at the piercing loud siren.

"What the fuck is happening?"Jason asked no one in particular.

"Humans!" A deep voice resounded all around the world. The voice was deep and filled with power.

"This world had been set on the path of ultimate evolution to preserve its presence!"

"The isolation layer has been destroyed and this world is going to be invaded by all the other races that reside all over the universe. We hope the path of ultimate evolution may be able to help you fight the incoming invasion."

"We have also set up a fighting arena for the promising humans of this generation to inherit the legacies of the previous generation."

"This is all we can do without angering the council."

"I hope Humanity prevails over all the odds and survives" The voice softened as it displayed its hope for Humanity's survival.

"Oh fuck me sideways, weren't zombies and intelligent animals enough??" Jason cursed out aloud. It wasn't just him who cursed as people all around the world were cursing their luck and this world that kept getting more terrifying as time went on.

Harry and Aiden still had their jaws hanging as they processed what just happened and Kim had a grim look on her face as she gazed deeply at the crimson red sky. It did not change back when the voice finished talking it stayed crimson and Kim had an inkling that it would stay this way forever, always reminding them how they were ripped apart from their normal lives and plunged into this apocalypse.

Jason took Arya's hand in his hand and gave a comforting squeeze causing her to look at him with a lost look on her face.

Kim gave a look to Jason indicating that they needed to talk after they finished their respective work.

Jason nodded as he knew he would have to discuss this odd phenomenon with the group but he wanted everyone to relax a bit by working for some time so that they have enough time to gather their thoughts.

"Did you know?" Jason asked the system when he found that everyone was busy in their work.

"Yes" came the curt reply from the system.

But before Jason could have an outburst about not telling him sooner the system's consciousness continued. " But due to system rules, I was not allowed to tell you."

Jason calmed himself down as he asked the system what it could tell him now.

"The voice now was a high god from the council who was a human before ascending. What he meant was that there was a barrier isolating earth from the other races all around the universe. And that isolation layer suddenly weakened and was on the brink of collapse when a human high god brought the path of ultimate evolution on earth. But due to its hurriedness, the path of ultimate evolution malfunctioned and created the blood-hungry zombies. The isolation layer will collapse any moment now and then all the other races will be free to descent on earth in search of valuable resources. There is a limit to the power level that the earth can hold so mostly the younger generation of the different races will be able to decent but they still will be powerful enough to dominate the original inhabitants of the earth. That is why the High god did what he did so as to give humanity a chance of survival."

"Are there other worlds out there?" Jason asked with amazement.

"Yes and there are different races all around the universe, there are different species of humans too"

"Which races are the most powerful?"

"Dragons, High elves, gods are the most powerful and the other moderately powerful races are, Elves, Dark elves, Vampires, werewolves, humans, the coven of evolved and many others"

"And they are going to invade the earth!!" Jason exclaimed as he imagined all these races invading earth.
