Chương 29: Lap Pillow

James roused from his sleep in the high-up tree slowly rubbing his eyes as he lay on the comfortable headrest-
Comfortable?
'Since when was a tree comfortable?' James thought to himself in confusion as he suddenly sat up quickly turning around to be greeted by the smiling face of someone he loved more than his own life.
"Cara!" James shouted in happiness as he shot toward her enveloping her in a deep hug as they sat on the tree.
Cara responded to the hug in kind and hugged James even tighter than himself showing her happiness.
It was clear that Cara was not the only one that had been missing the other since James and Cara both showed no signs of letting go even after 10 minutes.
After James delved into the warmth of his love for a few minutes more before he murmured words into her shoulder, "What are you doing here?" James asked in confusion.
When Cara was posed with such a question she scratched her head in embarrassment, "I felt your aura from all the way in the sect and got worried so I came to check on you." Cara said partially telling the truth.
James was happy to hear that but what shocked him most wasn't her presence but instead the fact she felt his aura, "Felt my aura? What do you mean?" James asked in confusion.
"I felt how angry you were inside the forest. I was going to ask you what happened but found you asleep like this." Cara said with concern as she still had no idea what had happened while she was away.
"Well, long story short I killed all those who would dare disrespect you~" James said happily as he gave Cara a kiss on the lips that shocked her.
Ignoring the pleasing words Cara enjoyed the kiss with James as their tongues intertwined for the first time tasting each other's saliva as they enjoyed the long deep kiss.
James showed all of the feelings of compassion and safeguarding he felt for Cara in the kiss while Cara also showed him the same with even more vigor.
They continued this for a while until they were both red in the face and stared at each other lustfully.
They both knew what they wanted to do and began removing their clothes, but right as their shirts were about to come off, Cara suddenly became serious.
"People!" Cara whispered hurriedly at James who quickly took note of the situation and laid down face-first on the tree.
Normally James wouldn't have worried about the situation but if Cara was warning him then there had to be a reason.
"I thought you said this was exactly where he was?!" A male voice said suddenly walking into the clearing in front of James' tree.
Soon after 5 more men followed behind the person with one slightly injured, "I promise sir! I saw him walking here earlier and then he stopped! It looked like he was finding a place to rest so he must be nearby!" The injured person said clearly afraid of the first man.
"You guys search the area! If we don't find him in the next 10 minutes then the life I will be taking will be yours instead of his." The one that seemed to be the leader said with anger before he kicked the injured man in the face once more knocking him to the ground.
When Cara heard that they were trying to kill James she nearly jumped out of the tree and murdered them all where they stood but James stopped her telling her to wait for a minute to keep listening.
His idea worked out since right after the others left including the injured guy the man began talking to himself in frustration, "Why do I always have to do the dirty work for Silvio?! Do this, do that! The only reason I even listen to you is because of Second Elder! All of this just to take out some nobody, poor guy doesn't realize how many are after him." The guy said in anger before stomping off into the surrounding forest to find James.
"Silvio... that dirty little bastard." Cara whispered in anger once all of the people from the group were gone. It was clear from her facial expression that things would not end well for these people if she were allowed to go after them.
However, before Cara could jump out of the tree and chase after some of the Disciples James stopped her with his hand making Cara confused, "Why are you stopping me? Don't tell me you feel bad for these insects or want to save them?" Cara said expressing her annoyance with every name she called the Disciples.
James laughed at her thought, "Of course not. I was just going to tell you that you should put on something to cover your identity before we head out. Someone in the Outer Disciples being this powerful is unheard of." James said with a scary smile as he took out the clothes of the Disciples he had killed. One of them had been split in half so their clothes were destroyed but the other one James had stripped before torturing him taking everything the guy owned.
"I like the way you think my love~" Cara said with a smile as she put the Outer Disciple robes on and a mask from her ring to cover her face.
From here the two of them got down from the tree and began making their way through the forest. In total there were 6 men if you counted the injured man into the equation. Each of these men had gone on their own in separate directions to cover as much ground as possible.
In their mind, they were hunting a very weak Outer Court Disciple since they didn't believe that James was able to make Silvio fall to his knees with his aura. What they didn't know was that their prey was actually the predator.
