Chương 280: The Fox and the Wolf have all the time in the world (END)

Chu Yun hadn't realised how much his brother had grown in the past year until he stood in front of him, ready to leave.

"Are you going to cry?" Chu Hean asked, one corner of his lip curled up in amusement.

Chu Yun scoffed after dragging the edge of his sleeve under his eye. "No. I just can't believe I'll finally be rid of you."

Lieba Chun threw an arm over Chu Hean's shoulder. "I'll take good care of him."

"I don't need you to take care of me," Chu Hean said, but Chu Yun noted how he listed closer to Lieba Chun's side.

"Well, you might have to take care of me."

"Of course," Chu Hean said, "Your enemies will be my enemies."

Chu Hean was a full head shorter than Lieba Chun, and slender as a willow, but no one who saw the glint in his eyes would question his determination.

For all his smooth talking, Chu Yun didn't doubt the Wise Prince meant his words; it was obvious to see from the way he looked at Chu Hean.

Ahhhh I wanted to post this on Christmas day but it didn't work out like that T-T

Thank you so much to all the loyal readers who went on this wild journey with me, I truly couldn't have done it without you, and your support orz

Starting next month (perhaps around the middle), I'll be posting extras for this novel.

There's the obvious ones: Chu Hean's wedding (perhaps snippets of life among the Xiongnu), Xiao Yuan's wedding, the resolution of Xiao Ziyi and Hua Nanyi's relationship...and then the ones like Gu Wei's youth, and marriage to Xiao Ai, that I really want to write, because they could be their own novel.

However, I'm open to suggestions! So please feel free to comment here if there's anything in particular you'd like me to expand on, or any 'missing scene' you want to see fleshed out!

Once again, thank you guys for all your support through this year, and for your patience as well.

This isn't a definite goodbye to these characters or this world, and I'm open to revisiting them in the future. Maybe with a companion novel (the twins adult lives), or a parallel novel (a new tale with Xiongnu characters for instance, or set in Xin for a change!)

Anyway, I hope we'll see each other again very soon. Happy new year everyone.
