Chương 1: Chapter 1: Marshall D. Teach

In the year 1494, on an island in the New World...

Deep within the mountains and forests, an eight-meter-long giant tiger fixed its gaze upon its prey. The air was filled with a tense atmosphere, with only a thin human figure and the lifeless body of a ferocious bear beside him.

The giant tiger's primal instincts allowed it to sense the slight threat emanating from the young human. Despite this, the tiger circled cautiously, studying the boy who showed no signs of resistance. Perhaps the battle with the violent bear had drained the young boy's energy.

Assured by this thought, the tiger grew less wary. It took two steps closer, positioning itself at the optimal hunting distance. Seizing the opportunity, the tiger let out a triumphant roar, crouched down, and lunged at the teenager.

"You've finally made your move!" The young boy kept a keen eye on the tiger's movements, patiently waiting for the opportunity. As the giant tiger pounced, a glimmer of anticipation flickered in his eyes. With a burst of agility, he leaped off the ground, generating a powerful force that caused the earth beneath his feet to tremble. Dust and pebbles filled the air as the young man suddenly appeared before the giant tiger in mid-air. A wicked smile of excitement crossed his face.

His hands formed into a claw-like from, his arm muscles bulged.

The young boy descended from mid-air, and his figure crashed onto the ground with a resounding thud. Blood dripped from the boy's hands, as his hand went through the tiger's head.

As night fell, a fire flickered in a clearing within the woods, where the young man roasted a colossal bear paw. Observing the flames dancing before him, the young man's thoughts turned introspective. "I'm twelve years old now, it won't be long," he mused, seemingly awaiting something.

He had awakened in the world of One Piece, destined to become a future kingpin—the ambitious Marshall D. Teach. Yes you heard that right, he was Blackbeard. There were no electrocutions or system enhancements; he merely woke up from a slumber and found himself as Teach, who was only six years old at that time.

Of course, I possessed extensive knowledge about One Piece. In the anime, Teach boarded the White Beard Pirate Ship at the age of twelve. Back then, he was just an ordinary fisherman without an ounce of power.

Anyways, after awakening as teach, I didn't experience any fortuitous integration of his memories. However, I had understanding of my otherworldly one piece physique. Born with extraordinary vitality and boundless energy, I could dedicate more time to rigorous training, and so I did, I abused this physique.

For the past six years, I honed my physical abilities, fully comprehending the cruel nature of the world and the paramount importance of strength. I focused on physical conditioning and delved into swordsmanship. I acquired a swordplay manual by stealing it from a declining kendo dojo on the island. After the demise of its master, the dojo gradually fell into obscurity.

At the time, the dojo's successor sought to sell the manual, and it didn't take me long to obtain the swordsman's handbook. I studied the Thunder Current Swordsmanship meticulously. It was a complete and undamaged manual, renowned for its excellence. Thunder Current Swordsmanship excelled at releasing lightning and flame-infused strikes, amplifying the power of each slash.

The Thunder Breathing method formed from the crux of Thunder Current Swordsmanship. By harnessing breath, the practitioner's body generated electricity. However, this technique came with significant side effects, shortening the lifespan of the swordsmen hailing from that kendo dojo.

This breathing technique suited Teach perfectly. With his monstrous innate physique, he stood apart from ordinary individuals in terms of vitality. The side effects posed no threat to him. Instead, he utilized the biological currents generated through the breathing method to reinforce his body, particularly his internal organs.

Teach possessed a rare talent for swordsmanship, maybe a result of amalgamation of the two souls. While Teach may have possessed this talent inherently, it remained undeveloped in the original story.

Given his tender age and the limitations imposed by his physical growth, he focused his efforts on honing his swordsmanship skills. Teach also had spent four years of the 6 training in another kendo dojo on the Island, where the dojo master specialized in the Flame Flow art of swordplay. This dojo became Teach training ground for fundamental sword techniques.

Having finished a hearty meal, only the bones of a bear remained on the side.

Teach closed his eyes, assuming a cross-legged position on the ground, inhaling and exhaling in synchrony with nature. Arcs of energy crackled on his skin, and the air around him grew hotter. This was the Flame Flow Sword technique taught to him by Haier, who is his mentor and guid.

"Full power!" Teach's body radiated intense heat, and the ground beneath him seemed to ignite, growing scorching hot. Lightning and flames intertwined, tempering his physique. To unleash even more potent lightning and higher-temperature flames, he needed to endure the strain.

By avoiding direct contact with the flames, he could channel them onto his blade, releasing a slashing attack wreathed in fire. This method was prevalent in the sea, particularly among the samurais of Wano Country.

Teach's approach was more extreme, relying on an exceptionally strong physique to withstand the technique's demands. He aimed to merge swordsmanship with physical prowess, wielding slashing strikes without a blade, treating his own hands as lethal weapons.

After all, one's physique formed the foundation. It was precisely because of this that Teach possessed tremendous claw strength. If there were an energy-measuring device present, it would reveal that the power and temperature on Teach's hands were abnormally high. Teach plunged his hands into the blazing fire, enduring a tingling sensation. The assistance of the flames facilitated his training, although it was agonizing at first, and burnt his skin, he gradually grew accustomed to it.

In a renowned medical clinic, a girl tended to Teach's burns, her expression a mixture of anger and concern. "Teach, didn't I warn you to be more careful last time? How did you get injured again?" While scolding him, Monica continued to skillfully warp the white bandage around his burned arm. Though he might've grew accustomed to it, he wasn't harmless from the flames.

"Haha, Monica, I accidentally set a tree on fire while barbecuing in the wilderness. Thankfully, I managed to put out the fire; otherwise, the entire mountain would have been engulfed," Teach chuckled, looking up at Monica.

"I nearly burned myself to death, hahaha!" he added, amused by his own misadventure.

Observing Teach's nonchalant attitude towards his own safety, Monica pressed harder on his arm. "Ouch! Ease up, Monica. It hurts a bit," Teach winced, pulling his arm back as if ready to spring off the ground.

Seeing him in such discomfort, Monica's expression softened. She then gently applied herbs and bandages to his hands.

"Thank you so much. Without your help, my hands would have been useless. And if they were useless, I wouldn't be able to venture out to sea or become a pirate," Teach expressed his gratitude, rising from the chair and gazing out the window at the azure blue sea for a few moments.

"After all, I have some ambitions, some big ones." Teach said with a wide grin as he walked out of the clinic.
