Chương 8: Chapter 8

"Sir…" The receptionist looked troubled by the amount of cores.

There wasn't much, so it was over a thousand.

Goblin cores were the lowest quality core, hence it only fetched for 15 coins each, gaining him only 15,000 coins.

But that was enough for him. He went to the equipment store and used 15,000 to buy a single rope.

[Sturdy Robe: Once it binds its enemy, they will have a hard time freeing from it.]

It was an E rank equipment. Still, Aldrich bought it because he had some use of it.

The Next Day-

Aldrich visited the Goblin Shelter again…He didn't even look at the goblin this time.

With his expedition yesterday, he managed to earn 450 goblin warriors, 30 goblin commanders, and 5 goblin chiefs.

In this process, all his small wolves disappeared, only some orange-tinted wolves survived, 100 blue and 200 black-tinted wolves.

2 boss wolves nearing their demise were in the rank too.

Compared to previously, his army had decreased by a lot. However, the new ones he got were enough of a compensation.

"Attack." Some goblin tried to sneak attack, but they couldn't as Aldrich immediately sensed activating his skill or his undead would near to block that attack.

Not to mention, he had armor set, the only thing he lacked was a helmet, but goblins weren't intelligent enough to find weak eyes of prey.

Some may try to, and some dagger may fly to his head, but Aldrich somehow managed to survive till now, due to his reflex, luck, and skill.

"Do it quickly." Aldrich nonchalantly stood near the door. A goblin chief towering over 10m in height looked at the boulder rushing at it.

But it wasn't there to block the blounder.

Bang!

Its hammer struck the door, flying it deeper into the room.

10 goblin warriors entered the room along with Aldrich. But the door wasn't big enough to accommodate the Goblin Chief, so it was stored in a hollow shelter.

After that, he moved to the second floor. Aldrich faced the waves of the goblin nonchalantly.

After ten minutes of entering the Goblin Shelter, he reached the boss room. It was truly a feat unattainable by other Supers of the same rank as him.

The goblin chief and his minions charged at Aldrich.

Goblin Chief, and goblin commander along with goblin warriors easily overwhelmed those creatures.

Even the goblin chief felt threatened enough to tremble. Five undead goblin chiefs easily destroyed the goblin chief. It didn't even take more than 10 minutes.

20 minutes was all it took for him to clear this dungeon. A world record.

"Now, let's do this till I earn 10,000 cores, and a large strong army."

Have you ever wondered what would happen if thousands of monsters are killed every minute? Who would possess that much tremendous power?

Aldrich…was a living legend.

He sat in the middle of the ground looking up, at the ceiling which was too high.

Kheeeeee!

Screams echoed throughout his ears. Heart-wrenching wails of goblins that were ruthlessly massacred by his army of undead.

There were two types of armies there. Undead Goblin Warriors dealing with goblins and undead goblins carrying cores.

"I should just give them a space ring…so I don't have to do it myself." He grumbled as he poured those cores into his ring.

Each minute, 100 of cores would come to him and he would move ahead.

The rows of doors that stretched for kilometers were hindrances to many Supers, who would be sneakily attacked by the pesky goblins from behind these doors. No one could casually break into the room, unless they had high-strength warriors or powerful mages.

Aldrich slowly moved. His undead killed goblins and brought him cores that had filled 1/25th of the space ring.

He had attained 1,245 cores in just an hour, which is seriously an unattainable feat.

"How much should I wait…It's getting very boring…" Aldrich was very patient. He imagined various things inside his mind, as he waited just to waste time and relieve his boredom.

"Dance for me." Unable to endure the boredom, he commanded the goblin.

The goblin skeleton raised its hand, and moved its hips. As it danced slowly, rotating its feet, twirling, and jumping. Its movements were awkward, and without any song, the dance felt more creepy than entertaining.

"Fight you two!"

Two goblin skeletons punched each other and brawled.

Their brawl extended from fistfight to kicks. They both rolled on the ground, one on top of another.

"Not that fun, but not that boring…"

Watching this, Aldrich spent his time.

12 hours later…

Aldrich spent most of his time collecting cores.

6 hours on the first floor, he earned 6,589 cores.

The second floor got him another 1,000. So he had earned 7,089 cores.

Another 4 hours, he did the same thing, and earned another 5,000 cores.

Remaining two hours he collected boss, and high-strength goblins.

"Today was a good harvest." He felt his connection with his undead.

1259 goblin warriors, 125 goblin commanders, 15 goblin chiefs…

"82,089 coins. I am getting rich." Goblin cores were sold less than wolves' prices because goblins were the weakest F rank monster.

The next day was the same. He repeated everything, the only difference was he defeated the dungeon 50 times.

He didn't collect cores, and just defeated the boss monster.

He consumed 25 cores dropped from the boss, increasing all his stats by 15.

"My days are getting really boring, aren't they?" Aldrich sighed as he reached his hotel room.

"Damn, what happened to my apartment? I haven't gone there, I should visit it once."

As Aldrich opened the door, he found a man lazily laying on his bed.

"You are a bit early today," the man said without even looking at Aldrich.

Aldrich froze. He looked at the man, and shuddered. "W-Who…are you?" He barely uttered these words.

Great pressure pushed him. He could barely manage his posture. He nearly fell to the ground.

'This man is strong…Very strong."

The man dressed casually, wearing only a black t-shirt and pants, stood.

"Sit. We need to talk," he said.

The pressure lessened and Aldrich's tense muscles relaxed. But goosebumps appeared all over his body, as he felt even more terrified and alert.

Aldrich sat on the chair, and faced the man. Sweat covered his face as if he had washed his face.

"Don't be so tense. I am not here to harm you," the man's face was serious. He had black hair, his body tall and muscular, and looked like a great warrior.

"Who…are you?" Aldrich was on his guard.

"I am the head of the branch of the Super Association that exists in this city."

"Wait…head of the Super Association branch…" Aldrich gulped.

According to what he knew, every branch head was an A-rank Super who had retired.

"Why…are you here?"

"Oh, nothing special, just to look at the boy who's gathering wealth," he smiled. It was as creepy as it looked scary. "You know, not many parties could gather thousands of cores in a week, but you just gathered as many as 6 thousand in just a week of being a Super."

He stopped and stood. "I wonder what power you are hiding to be able to perform that feat, that hadn't been performed by anyone in the world."

Aldrich looked at the man solemnly. He didn't speak. To be precise, he didn't know what to say.

"You are not hiding it," the man said. "Publicly selling the cores means showing your strength. I admire you." He walked to the door.

"I am not here to ask you to join any party, or even association. I am only here as a leader of an association, to check on a man who may be the new legend. Don't worry, nothing about you will spread." Then he stopped and looked at him with dead serious eyes.

"Whatever your power, I hope you can contribute it to mankind, so we all can survive in this hellish world. I am just asking you to protect this town, if anything tragic occurs."

The man left the room.

"Phew…" Aldrich took a deep breath. "He didn't even tell me his name." He sighed. "But it seems I am safe. That man wasn't bad. I need to speed up. My next stop is a D-rank dungeon, Orc Carnival."
