In a windowless chamber sat a girl. With the night as hair and rubies for eyes, her appearance was a stark contrast against the monotonous grey of the room.

"What you got there, Mr. Detective? "

The girl asked in tandem with the sound of door opening, revealing a man with disheveled clothing and a cigarette in mouth. He took a puff, sat down and started speaking:

"I have with me something very fun for your game, Charlotte... "

"Oh, what did you get from the apartments ? " Asked Charlotte with

a tinge of curiosity.

Seeing that scene, the detective tried to take a few deep breath to calm down and then threw a folder as thick as a university course book on top of the table separating the two.

"This ... " He continued "is documents, detailing the evidences and descriptions of your crime. "

He went silent for a brief second and then started inquiring Charlotte.

"What you did ... Can you tell me why you did those things? I need to know the reasons behind your thoughts, your actions in these moments. I need to know ..."

He paused, as if deciding whether or not to be frank, and continued

"WHY YOU KILL THEM, BUTCHER THEM AND EAT THEM !?"

In front of the burst of anger, Charlotte merely chuckled and then opened the document folder, flipping through pages until she got to the crime scene pictures, pointed to the pictures of mangled corpses and began laughing eagerly. Seeing that scene, the man was awestruck, not by the laughter of a beauty, but by the laughter of a demon donning the skin of a goddess.

"I did such things, for I wish for them to become a part of me" Said the girl nonchalantly.

" Memories will fade, promises will be broken. They will be lost forever, but FLESH!" Sang the girl sweetly.

"FLESH WILL ONLY CHANGE FORM. " Chanted the girl with absolute faith.

"We consume others and we give others, the conservation, that is the beauty of flesh" Concluded the girl with a satisfying grin on her face.

Such absurd logic could not enlighten the detective fully, but one thing he understood was that the she was insane, the insanity hidden beneath the facade of normalcy rather than the popular one.

With a renewed conviction, the detective stood up, turned back and left the room. But just before he left, he threw a brief glance backward, to the smiling paradox and said:

" We will not meet again, goodbye. "

And he muttered softly: "I'll make sure of that".

Following the interrogation, Charlotte was transferred to another prison, awaiting her execution upon reaching legal age. Most of the police force, believing her heinous crimes were the result of careful planning rather than brute strength, saw little need for heavy security during transport. As oxygen ran out and darkness overtook her vision, she wished to anyone out there that would be willing to listen: "I pray to any god out there that may listen, let me live longer, for the cycle must continue !"
