It starts in a quiet hospital room—where a tired son meets the nurse who brightens his mother’s fading days, and something unspoken begins to shift between them.
A single dinner leads to a flurry of feelings neither of them are ready for.
A misunderstanding turns into distance.
A late-afternoon conversation reveals more than either meant to say.
As family pressures, lingering fears, and unexpected declarations pull them closer—and sometimes push them apart—they both begin to realize that some connections feel as though they were always meant to happen.
But neither of them knows what to call it yet.
