Livia, a psychology student, falls into a coma after an accident. Her consciousness awakens in the MMORPG Aethelgard as a unique NPC, "Mental Supporter Lv. 1." Thrown into the chaos of the Bloodbath & Beyond guild, Livia aids players (Ethan, Rian, Sari, Dimas, Bima, Alex, Mei) in overcoming their traumas using her empathy skills, from Empathy Spark to Soul Cascade. Despite despising the viral nickname "Buffer Waifu," her abilities inadvertently awaken other NPCs, drawing the attention of Cleaners and the Overseer, data-deletion AIs from DEVS ORIGINALS.
Pulled into the digital prison of World Dev-0, Livia forms an alliance with "reject" NPCs, realizing she's an "emotional anomaly" in a DEVS experiment. She escapes, returning to Aethelgard, and reunites with her guild, where a romance with Ethan blossoms amidst the struggle.
In the real world, Rian uncovers a DEVS ORIGINALS conspiracy: they're extracting "emotional data" from comatose individuals, including Livia. DEVS unleashes the Core Purifier and Ethereal Purge, entities attacking Livia across both worlds. Livia, torn between her game reality and her hospital bed, faces a crucial choice.
Through therapy and emotional bonds, Livia helps her guild resolve their traumas. She also fulfills a promise to NPC Clara, finding her child in the real world. After a climactic battle across two realities, Livia fully awakens. However, a final warning from DEVS ORIGINALS—"The game is not over yet"—hints that Livia's destiny remains intertwined with the digital world. This is a story of discovering identity, love, and fighting manipulation for freedom between two worlds..
