I had a feeling I was right, but the problem still remained: what the hell was I supposed to do with those platforms and engravings? My only way to get to the other side of the room was by jumping from platform to platform. Entering the water was out of the question, especially since I suspected it wasn't even real water. Based on the clearly poisoned spikes or acid-soaked ones in the previous corridors, I knew I couldn't risk it.

After taking a closer look around, I realized that the blue glow on each platform reminded me of the light emitted by the mushrooms growing around me on the ledge where I stood. That was the only other element in the room. Looking at the engraving of the first symbol — a snake eating a mushroom — an idea occurred to me.
