章節 14: Chapter 14: The Logistician

He always knew where the scissors were.

The Logistician wasn't flashy. He didn't announce his arrival or decorate his corner of the dorm. But if something was missing, he'd already found it. If something broke, he'd already fixed it. Quietly. Without saying a word.

He wasn't cold. He was practical.

Routine was sacred. Socks in rows. Alarms at the same time every day. A planner that was color-coded not for fun, but for function. His closet wasn't trendy. It was reliable. Navy, gray, and forest green. Sharp and forgettable.

People often mistook him for boring.

They didn't realize that in his head, there was a perfectly ordered map of the world. A map where problems could be solved, systems could be improved, and chaos was just a temporary failure of planning.

He didn't believe in luck.

He believed in preparation.

He wasn't the loudest in Room 304.

Actually, he was the quietest.

Even Observer had his muttered monologues. Even Architect had his ice-sharp sarcasm. But Logistician spoke when needed, and only then.

The others respected him.

Sometimes feared him.

A few of them forgot he was there, until he showed up with the one thing they didn't know they needed.

He liked it that way.

Tonight, the group had planned a cleaning day.

Well, *he* had planned it.

Everyone else had just agreed to it because he showed them a laminated schedule with everyone's initials assigned to tasks and a checklist so efficient Commander nearly wept.

He didn't raise his voice.

He just managed.

Spark wiped the counters with music blasting.

Mediator vacuumed with methodical grace.

Virtuoso cleaned the fan blades while hanging from a questionable ladder setup.

And he? He handled the supply cabinet.

Every label straight.

Every box perfectly closed.

It was satisfying.

Later, he passed by the common room.

Saw Entertainer trying to lift the couch alone.

Sighed. Set down his mop. Helped.

"Thanks, man," Entertainer grinned.

He nodded. Moved on.

Didn't need a medal.

That night, back in his corner of the dorm, he logged the inventory of shared items on his spreadsheet. Not because anyone asked, because it made everything easier for everyone. That mattered to him.

His phone buzzed.

A rare group chat message.

From Guardian:

[Guardian]: Just wanna say thanks to Logistician for keeping us from descending into total chaos today 🙏🏼

Reactions flooded in. Clapping emojis. Heart emojis.

He stared at the screen.

Didn't respond.

But a small smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.

He clicked off his lamp.

Reached for his nightly crossword.

Then the knock.

"Good night," someone called.

He didn't answer immediately.

Just listened.

Let it echo in the quiet.

Then, finally:

"Night."

And in his planner, tomorrow's first line read:

"Check lightbulbs. And maybe, let yourself enjoy the noise a little."
