Han Gaozu's grandfather

Liu Bang's grandfather was Liu Qing. Liu Qing was a doctor in Wei at the end of the Warring States Period. Later, he moved to Feng County and was buried in the ancestral tomb of the Han Emperor. Liu Qing was Liu Bang's grandfather, the origin of the Liu family.

Han Gaozu's surname was Liu. According to the Records of the Historian and other historical records, Liu Bang's ancestors had used many surnames, such as Taotang and Liu, but they eventually reverted to Liu. Therefore, strictly speaking, Liu Bang's surname was Qi, and his surname was Liu. However, after the establishment of the Han Dynasty, the Liu family became the authentic surname of Liu Bang and his descendants.

Liu Bang, Emperor Gaozu of Han Dynasty, had eight sons and one daughter. Among them, the sons included the eldest son Liu Fei (King of Qi), Liu Ying (Emperor Hui of Han), Liu Ruyi (King of Zhao), Liu Heng (Emperor Wen of Han), Liu Hui (King of Liang), Liu You (King of Huaiyang), Liu Qi (King of Liang), and Liu Xiang (King of Qi). His daughter is Princess Lu Yuan. Liu Ying and Liu Heng became emperors, but the fate of the other sons was unknown.

Han Gaozu Liu Bang was born into an ordinary peasant family. His father was Liu Taigong and his mother was Liu Ao. Liu Taigong was a prominent figure in the town. He was open-minded and lived a good life. Grand Duke Liu had four sons: the eldest son, Liu Bo, the second son, Liu Zhong, the third son, Liu Ji, and the youngest son, Liu Jiao. Liu Bang's family was harmonious, and he received his father's support and encouragement as he grew up. After Liu Bang became the emperor, the living conditions of his father, Liu Taigong, were not clear, but on the whole, their relationship was harmonious.

Han Gaozu's mother was Liu Ao.

Liu Bang had eight sons. They were the eldest son of the Shu family, Liu Fei (King of Qi), the second son, Liu Ying (Emperor Xiaohui), the third son, Liu Ruyi (King of Zhao), the fourth son, Liu Heng (Emperor Wen), the fifth son, Liu Hui (King of Liang), the sixth son, Liu You (King of Huaiyang), the seventh son, Liu Jian, and the eighth son, Liu Changyan. Among them, Liu Fei was Liu Bang's eldest son, but because he was born of a concubine, he was not made Crown Prince. Liu Ying was the second son of Liu Bang, born by his first wife, Lu Zhi. He later inherited the throne and became Emperor Hui of Han. The fate and ending of the other sons were not mentioned.

Liu Bang, the Emperor Gaozu of Han Dynasty, had two children, a son Liu Ying and a daughter Princess Lu Yuan. Liu Ying was the eldest son of Liu Bang and Empress Lu Zhi. He inherited the throne after the death of Emperor Gaozu of the Han Dynasty and became the second emperor of the Western Han Dynasty. Princess Lu Yuan was the daughter of Liu Bang and Lu Zhi. She was pushed out of the car when Liu Bang was escaping, but she was later rescued by Xia Houying and escaped together.
