Unchained Section 30
My story mainly revolves around a group of 3 friends that aim to survive day by day, this time they are interested in winning a big tournament.
They accepted some risky job, and they failed one, so now they are forced to pay the price by completing an deadly quest: to find a man who’s been a soldier, one that was able to shift the balance of the battles in my fantasy-like world which will soon enter a war era.
The fantasy-sparkle I’ve put into my story, it’s about “chains” which directly link a person with an ancestor. This connection is born when these 2 individuals share the same ideas about how life should be lived.
People do betray, kill, sell themselves to obtain a single chain, which is very rare to have.
These chains give supernatural capabilities to people, that’s why many of them get to military jobs.
Our 3 heroes do share a chain, so they are themselves seen as resources to be exploited.
Personally, I hate the troupe of evil and good sides so my story follows more storylines, changing point of view and spacing in a large number of characters, each with their unique philosophy to live their life.
The first and main storyline is about our 3 beloved friends.
The second is about a Famous Royal family which gets massacred, and very few members survive. One of them is the big brother who tried to get his little brother back with him, but the little one blamed himself for everything. (The massacre is the sparkle that lights the unbalance of their world, and then leads to the war era).
The third is about a guy which family get killed in an expected attack, (the first of the war era) and after surviving and obtaining a chain, he discovers how the church which was supposed to help the people was really just a political influence behind the attack that killed his family, he’ll dedicate his life to destroy this church from the inside.
The fourth storyline is about a guy trying to conduct a normal life, but is forced to go to war, he has no aspirations or goals, though he always happens in the weirdest situations.
The fifth is about the little brother of the Famous Royal Family, who happens to be one of the greatest geniuses ever lived in the world, however even someone like him couldn’t save his own family.
This way I’ll give the full perspective on each side of the conflict and the reader will decide who’s right.
When our 3 friends reach the final objective, this soldier isn’t even that strong, because he’ll be killed in an instant by another soldier.
The whole story is about surpassing our own problems with different philosophies.
Some people rely on their instincts, some are cold calculators, others may believe in a god-like guide.
I’ll dive into each possibility, showing the results through each of my characters.
