I died on my twenty-ninth birthday. I died amidst the flames ignited by the nine hundred and ninety-ninth scent I crafted for Julian Lancaster. While inhaling the scent of cedarwood ignited by my own hands and the smell of my own scorched flesh, I listened to the cries of the firefighters within the raging inferno. "Mr. Lancaster!
