Four gods got drunk and made an absurd bet. To be sure they would win without a doubt, they chose to create their own champion instead of choosing one. This is the story of Emp, created to become an emperor because of an insane gamble. He will need to rise from nothing and claim the continent for himself in order to bring victory to his four creators. The land is dangerous, a few thrive, some survive and most die to all kinds of disastrous encounters. The gods will have to watch anxiously as their latest creation tries to survive against the horrors they unleashed upon the world for fun. Emp on the other hand, just feels like admiring the scenery all day long.

But I must stress that he will develop and experience a major development in an important arc that's not too far ahead. He won't always be on the pages for the first section of the story, but he will still have a prominent role. Other characters in this world are given a fair share of time to express themselves and develop too. A lot. The first 10 chapters set up the BASIC story, but they are NOT exposition.
