My Fiancé's Betrayal: He Had Me Humiliated to End Our Engagement
During the Christmas holidays, my fiancé, Raymond Prescott, took me and his childhood friend, Jasper Wilson, to Zoey Thorn’s house in a mountain village for a getaway.
Late at night, when the village was quiet, an older man suddenly barged into Zoey’s home. Without hesitation, Raymond shoved me aside and ran off, clutching Zoey in his arms.
I was left helpless, pinned to the ground by the older man, who began to assault me violently. Half-conscious, I could vaguely hear Raymond and Jasper talking.
“Raymond, I really like Vanessa Merrick. You don’t need to worry about this old man. I can handle it myself.”
“Shut up! If you hadn’t kept trying and failing to seduce Vanessa, forcing me to look for a way to break off our engagement, I wouldn’t have gone through all this trouble bringing her to this remote village and staging this whole charade.”
“Vanessa has always been proud. Only by humiliating her like this will she fall from grace.”
“After this, she won’t dare give Zoey any trouble.”
“Then when you marry Zoey, Vanessa will be mine.”
“Not happening! Zoey saved my life. I’m marrying her to repay that debt. The one I truly love is Vanessa.”
“I’ve already transferred half of the Prescott Group’s shares to Vanessa. I believe she’ll understand my intentions.”
“As for you, as long as Vanessa agrees, I won’t mind. I love her too much.”
The conversation made me feel disgusted, almost sick to my stomach. I used every ounce of my strength to rip off the engagement ring Raymond had given me.
The assault continued, and their conversation outside the window didn’t stop.
