But one day his aide, Shirube convinced him to go to a masquerade party (celebrating the princess’s birthday) at the kingdom of Miriyos. He meets a girl who caught his eye but nothing happens between them. Then after Hakuryuu’s birthday the kingdoms begins losing their citizens. People are consistently complaining that the people they loved just disappeared. But no one remembers the that those people ever had the disappeared loved ones... So Hakuryuu’s father gives him an heirloom that is a pocket watch, for his birthday. Then he gives his son a choice. Hakuryuu can either go on a journey to figure out what is happening to their citizens or he must engage in an arranged marriage. Hakuryuu who believes that no one can love him chooses to venture on and uncover the mystery behind the supposed disappearances, but he decides to do so under a different name...
