SPACE COLONIST: in the oceanic world ARK

SPACE COLONIST: in the oceanic world ARK

#Synopsis: ------------------------------------------------------ In the far future the planet earth is full, and thanks to 3 key technologies, genetic manipulation, cryosleep, and advanced space engines, humanity builds deep space spaceships and launch themselves to the unknown confines of space to forge a new future away from home. Follow our young engineer Erik as he starts on his first job at the young age of 60 years old in future earth where humans will live hundreds of years, he will reach an unknown place with his spaceship by accident and to survive he will have no choice but to explore alien structures and hunt dangerous monsters to get stronger, making alliances with the locals in more than friendly terms sometimes. ------------------------------------------------------ The protagonist is a young 60 years old "young" engineer, he's easy-going and a good guy, he's been trained so he will know what he's doing most of the time, in "Chapter 1 - A New Beginning" he will explain more, as a human from the future where bodies are just flesh containers, he's fairly openminded (kinda like "Altered Carbon" from Netflix, but different, you can go one day to a genetic center, pay, and get inside a liquid tank and then, the next time you open your eyes your body has already changed, then you get your ticket and go home just like that, but combat modifications would be regulated). ------------------------------------------------------ Hi, NirvanaPenguin here, suggestions on the story are welcome. ------------------------------------------------------ Discord: https://discord.gg/WPM7a4Dp4J Reddit: www.reddit.com/user/NirvanaPenguin/ Twitter: @NirvanaPenguin Post a review if you liked the book to help me get exposure, thanks. The book cover was drawn by myself(not the background though), I will try to make or pay someone to make a cooler one in the future though. ------- Spoiler?: Inspiration for the octopeople. - Asari from Mass Effect. - sea horses. - subnautica all beings reproduce that way.

The Scion's Jack of all Trades Wife

The Scion's Jack of all Trades Wife

They first met on a train. She just came out from retirement of being a hermit while he was traveling incognito. He was reading a book when she interrupted his concentration. “Do you want to know how fast I read?” The man looked up, his charcoal eyes peered at her, an eyebrow was raised. How shameless can she be? But whatever, she needed to read that book. “I can finish it in thirty minutes.” “So do I. If you stop talking to me,” the man once again buried his head on the book. “I can give you a very detailed book review?” The man continued reading, treating her like an air. She pursed her lips, thinking how she can convince the man. “Giving up so soon? I thought you want to read this book?” The man threw her a glance, raising the book in front of her face, tempting her. “Okay. What do you want?” She braced herself for his outrageous answer. “Oh, it’s nothing. I’m sure you can give it to me.” She squared her shoulders, indicating him to proceed with his request. “Just a kiss,” the man said, his charcoal eyes became darker. She almost fell from her seat when she heard the man’s request. She looked at the man’s lips unconsciously then back to the book. For the first time in history, Li Nuxie wanted both. ================= This is an original story. I just changed the cover which is from Canva. I hope you like it. :) Thanks. By the way, I'm an amateur writer and English is not my first language so please pardon my grammar.

The Lost Old Trades
After reading the reviews and comments on the disappearing old industry, I had some thoughts on this topic. These comments mentioned some ancient and practical skills, such as cutting faces and sharpening knives and scissors, as well as some traditional occupations, such as sharpening knives and experienced craftsmen. It was a pity that these industries had gradually disappeared in modern society. The comments mentioned that the convenience and fast pursuit of modern society had led to the disappearance of these old businesses. People were more inclined to use modern technology and equipment to complete their work instead of traditional craftsmanship and skills. This also reflected the changes in society and the changes in people's lifestyle. However, the value and significance of these old businesses were irreplaceable. They were not only a profession, but also a manifestation of cultural heritage and traditional skills. They represented the past era and people's efforts, and they also carried human feelings and warm hearts. If we lose these old professions, we may lose something important, such as focus and happiness. Although the development of modern society inevitably led to the disappearance of some old industries, we can still cherish and pass on these traditions through memories and thoughts. The disappearance of these old industries made us realize that we should pay more attention to and protect our cultural heritage, as well as the values and meanings that are gradually forgotten in modern society. In general, the disappearing old business was a topic that made people think. It reminds us to cherish and pass on traditional culture, but it also reflects the changes in society and people's lifestyle. Although these old industries gradually disappeared in modern society, the value and significance they brought would always be remembered in people's hearts.

What is the significance of the Ark in the Noah and the Ark story?
The ark is highly significant. It represents God's mercy. God provided a way for life to be preserved through the ark. It was like a floating sanctuary in the midst of the chaos of the flood. Noah had to trust in God's plan and build it as instructed. Without the ark, all life on earth as we know it in the story would have been wiped out. It's a central element that shows how God can save the chosen in the face of total destruction.
