Ela piscou os olhos... e congelou. Erguendo-se acima dela estava um alto homem-fera tigre, seus olhos dourados estreitados em um sorriso preguiçoso e predatório. "Vamos ter o nosso", ele disse. O cérebro de Su Qinglan entrou em curto-circuito. ... Nosso? NOSSO?! Antes que ela pudesse processar, no momento seguinte foi içada sobre o ombro largo dele como um saco de grãos e carregada diretamente para a caverna. Su Qinglan ficou tão sufocada com a rapidez de tudo aquilo... que esqueceu até mesmo de reclamar. *** Os joelhos de Su Qinglan batiam um contra o outro enquanto ela olhava fixamente para a enorme serpente. Seus olhos vermelhos e frios se estreitaram, o movimento de sua língua provando o ar entre eles. "N-Não me coma", ela gaguejou, abraçando a si mesma. "Eu... eu não sou saborosa... sério, sou dura e cheia de... hm... colesterol ruim." A cabeça da cobra abaixou até ficar a centímetros de seu rosto. Suas orelhas de raposa tremeram freneticamente. E então, antes que ela pudesse piscar... seu corpo enorme cintilou, escamas transformando-se em pele bronzeada e músculos definidos. Diante dela estava um homem tão incrivelmente bonito que os pobres olhos de raposa de Su Qinglan lacrimejaram só de olhar para ele. Su Qinglan engoliu em seco, seu rabo ficando todo arrepiado em pânico. "Eu... eu..." Sua voz falhou. Okay, novo problema... a cobra é gostosa. Ela apertou os olhos fechados. No momento seguinte, ela acordou em um bizarro mundo das bestas... dentro do corpo de uma tirana local preguiçosa, mimada e gorda que todos odiavam. A Su Qinglan "original" tinha sido uma vilã arrogante e manipuladora que passava seus dias intimidando mulheres-fera mais fracas, perseguindo machos bonitos e aterrorizando as crianças da tribo.
