The Witch in the Woods: The Transmigration of Hazel-Anne Davis

The Witch in the Woods: The Transmigration of Hazel-Anne Davis

They say she’s a monster. A myth. A demon wrapped in human skin. They call her the Witch in the Woods. They should have called her a warning. Hazel-Anne Davis was raised in the Devil's Playground for the end of the world—part human, part demon, full survivalist, and absolutely done with it all. When she wakes up in the dying body of a child in a foreign world, she doesn’t cry or panic. She builds. She kills. She survives. The mountains become her home, and she becomes the nightmare whispered about in drunken taverns and frightened war councils. No army ever returns. No trespasser lives. Until she met them. Dragged from her mountain, drugged and bound in a trunk like some barbaric trophy, Hazel-Anne is forced into the glittering prison of the royal court—a place where daggers hide behind fans, poison is poured in porcelain cups, and obedience is expected from women who should know their place. Hazel does not know her place. And if she does, she refuses to stay in it. Five powerful men—each dangerous in their own right—are about to learn that the “witch” they stole is no savage. She’s smarter than they are. Deadlier than their worst enemies. And she’s done playing by anyone else’s rules. Now all of them—the scarred warrior prince, the genius Crown Prince, the demon-eyed general, the assassin in the shadows, and the merchant wrapped in silk and lies—will have to decide: Will they try to control her? Or will they kneel before the storm they’ve unleashed? Either way, at the end of the day, the Witch will have her revenge. The Unicorn's Forest

The Unicorn's Forest

While the issue about my writing ability has been resolved, it took longer than I'd have liked and now I need to extend the hiatus period on this book as I reread everything I've written on this book earlier than I'd planned. I will at least be proofreading the chapters and will update them as I work on it. In addition, I'll see if there's something I can do about the first 13 chapters on making them shorter without having to rework all later chapters. Thank you for your patience on this matter. Vol 1: The Unicorn's Forest Charlie Rivers is a 14-year old girl who is trying to get through high school without being noticed when she finds herself hearing a voice asking for help when she is only one of two who can hear it. She agrees, despite the fact the other person is someone she doesn't like. When she meets the 'voice' that needed help, she learns that it's a unicorn, yet she's the only one who seems to be able to see the horn. Everyone else thinks it's a horse. Charlie also learns that by having agreed to help the unicorn, she'd gotten herself involved with a group of friends, including the other person who can hear the unicorn, that she hadn’t been really involved with before. Not only is it changing her normal schedule drastically, given she hadn’t hung out with anyone before, but even her personal space seems under attack at times. As she continues to help the unicorn, she funds that going back to how she was isn’t as attractive as it had once been, before she was helping the unicorn but also she wonders if she really would want to. *Minor spoiler in the synopsis for vol. 2 if you haven't read vol. 1* Vol 2: Tip of Other Worlds Charlie and her friends begin traveling to other worlds in search of the world that the griffin canyon connects to. While they do that, Charlie finds herself torn with wanting to grow her relationship with Alex and beginning the expedition through different worlds. Then as the expedition begins, she finds more than she ever expected to find on other worlds, but ever in the back of her mind is the dream she had in which Beth, her best friend, dies in. A dream she's determined to keep from happening, even if she has to sacrifice the friendship that's come to mean so much to her. *Minor spoilers in vol. 3 synopsis* Vol. 3: Acclimating to a New World Charlie leaves her friends and is taken by The Lost. Her friends continue on and encounter a family who has the same disease they had just recovered from. While helping them, they learn about how this world is that of a matriarchal society and has been since ancient times. What that means they can't say, only that it's going to be awkward. Charlie comes to after a while, feeling like her brain had been I'm a fog and that she had been in a waking dream, only to find she's naked and in a kind of cage where she learns she's been taken as a slave. While she has no idea how this happened, she's determined to find a chance to successfully get out of that situation. Mature content will be either through implications or will only extend to the edge of it. The cover art was ai generated. The Forest Spirit who sought the Gods

The Forest Spirit who sought the Gods

After the Gods of Time, Nature and the Elements created this world, they took a rest under the shade of a tree they created. Thanking their creation for helping them back with its shade, they gave the tree sentience, blessed him and called him a friend. Now the Gods are half-asleep, content with only watching. The world has breathed for millenia, and the blessed tree still watches over the forest around himself. The world has changed and his life comes to an end, surrounded by loneliness. Gathering what's left of his strength, he passes his torch on, in the hope of giving a last goodbye to his friends, wherever they may be and whenever they would see. Meet and follow his first and last creation he passes his will to, a one of a kind forest spirit with... abilities (wouldn't want to spoil too much here now, would I?). Curious and cute, he will travel and meet new people, discovering the world he's in, to try and give a last goodbye to the three creation gods in his dad-tree's place. ------ It's my first time writing a novel! So bash me as much as you like (within reason, of course). I appreciate any and all feedback. ------ This will be a world of humans, humanoïds, beasts, magic, and a heartwarming tale of travels across it. It won't always be butterflies, roses and friendship though, heavy moments are there too. Also : depictions of violence, blood and gore, nudity, strong language, alcohol and other classic +17 stuff. To the reader's discretion. Don't hesitate to stop by on my discord server for some idle chit-chat and angry complaints when the characters you're attached to get in a tight spot. ------ You can join my discord server if you want to talk to me about the story!
