Things started to get worse around the end of the year when my father started to drink because he thought that his life was so worse because of me, well one night I was just finishing my homework late at night since I had to do everything in the house than out of nowhere my dad came barging in with a beer bottle in his hand and being all slurry. I was getting scared of what he was going to do and all of a sudden he threw me on the floor, hitting me, kicking me, punching me; everything possible. What happens when you join the Marching Band? You play music of course, but there are also the band romances that make you stop and think. Maybe Danny will find more than just a friend. Danny is a musician at heart. Everyone in her family plays an instrument. Her Freshman year is coming up and she has to decide what to play and what to be in. Around April a sign-up sheet for Marching Band shows up on her doorstep. Signing up, she doesn't realize what she has gotten herself into. Jackson comes from a line of trumpets and other horn players. He was expected to join Marching Band as did his older brother Chase. He signed up and prepared for the first day of practice.
