The Epic of Lex Talionis Vol. 1

The Epic of Lex Talionis Vol. 1

Ragi, a boy raised by Polaris's greatest Archmage and Warrior makes what usually would be a normal trip to the library to study his Father's tomes of magic. At the Library he meets Rory Sinclair, a demigod next in line to become the champion of Celestus, King of the Gods. Finding that they both have aspirations to become great heroes, they vow to do so at any cost. On that same day, however, Ragi also meets Auberon Thermidor, one of the very heroes he aspires to become. But as the saying goes, never meet your heroes. The next day, Ragi and Rory go to explore the city only to run into trouble with some problematic bullies. A fight breaks out and magic is cast forcing Ragi to do the unthinkable and jump into harm's way. Though it isn't as harmful as he normally thought it would be. Emerging from a ball of flames Ragi can cast his first spell. Something he runs home to reveal to his parents. However, tragedy strikes. Devastated, Ragi runs into the forests outside of the city only to find a temple. It is there he finds the Goddess Mana who takes a keen interest in the boy. She vows to tell him of his gifts when he comes of age. Years later, Ragi grows into a fine young man under the tutelage of Auberon and Mana, and on the day of his sixteenth birthday, he sets out to Mana's temple where only to be greeted by a massacre. With treachery, misunderstandings, and some truth revealed afoot, Ragi and his companions are now treated as Polaris's most dangerous criminals and now race against time to clear their names. To do so they must find allies including those among the Gods themselves In the quest to clear his name, Ragi must face his circumstances head-on while retaining his sense of self. Though the trials before him seek to corrupt his very soul. Turning him into a being worse than the Demon God himself.

The Complete Lex Luthor Origin Story
Well, Lex Luthor started out in a rather difficult situation. In his origin story, he was from a not - so - well - off family in a tough neighborhood. However, his genius was evident from a young age. He managed to build an empire through his wits and business acumen. But his encounter with Superman, a being with god - like powers, made him feel inferior. This sense of inferiority and his overarching ambition led him down the path of villainy. He began devising plans to take down Superman, believing that without Superman, he could be the most powerful and respected figure in the world.

The differences between them are significant. Lex Luthor is more of a traditional villain in the short story.
