The Drum That Refused To Speak
SYNOPSIS
Listen....
There are things the wind carries that the ear is not meant to understand. Yet, in Aiyetoro, people have learned to hear beyond sound, to listen with memory.
On the morning the drum spoke out of turn, the elders said nothing and that was how we knew something was wrong, because in a land where words are never wasted, silence is never without meaning.
In the ancient town of Aiyetoro, where tradition walks side by side with modern unrest, lives Temilade, a quiet observer in a loud world, she has always been told that some questions are better left unasked and yet questions, like seeds, do not die in silence, they wait.
After the sudden death of a revered elder, the rhythm of the town begins to change, the talking drum speaks in tones no one can quite interpret, and shadows seem to linger longer than they should. As fragments of a hidden past surface, Temilade finds herself entangled in a truth that threatens not only her family’s name but the fragile harmony of the entire community.
Between loyalty and truth, between fear and destiny, she must decide:
Is silence a form of peace… or a quiet betrayal?
