Per mantenere questo fragile equilibrio, ogni anno, una manciata di "fortunati" umani vengono selezionati da vari distretti per frequentare l'Accademia Lunaris, un'istituzione prestigiosa che promette gloria, status e la possibilità di mescolarsi con l'élite.
