Respawned as The Count of Glow-Up

Respawned as The Count of Glow-Up

This novel is an abridged retelling of 'The Count of Monte Cristo' by Alexandre Dumas. If you're wondering about the cringe-worthy title, it's because I initially wrote the novel under the comedy genre, hence, the overly gen z lingo. Later on, I realised how bad of an idea it was, fortunately so, because it felt like tarnishing the value of the original rather than enhancing it, and decided to rewrite it as a faithfully serious adaptation which aims to reduce the political complexity of the plot as well as to make the narrative more accessible to contemporary readers, without insulting what made the original story timeless. --- Synopsis:- Edmond Dantès had everything, a bright future, the love of his life, and the loyalty of his friends, or so he thought. Until the day it was all ripped away. Branded a criminal for a crime he never committed, he’s locked away in prison where the world forgets him. Years pass, but his fire doesn’t die. Then fate delivers him an impossible key: knowledge, power, and the means to carve his way back into the world. Edmond is reborn, not as the broken man who once begged for justice, but as a phantom cloaked in wealth, influence, and secrets. With every whispered deal, every calculated strike, he tears apart the empire of those who destroyed him. But vengeance is never clean. As the line blurs between justice and obsession, the questions remain: is he reclaiming his stolen life… or becoming something darker than the men he hunts? A saga of betrayal, rebirth, and ruthless revenge. Perfect for fans of psychological drama, sharp intrigue, and slow-burn retribution.

Well, first you need to consider the formatting. For instance, if you use a large font, there will be fewer words per page. On average, in a typical novel layout, if you have about 200 - 300 words per page. So you divide the total word count by this number to get an approximate page count.
